wiiflow

Post by AC_Orange » Sat Jan 14, 2012 2:29 pm

Hey guys and girls

I have this annoying problem with my wiiflow. When I turn my Wii on and run wiiflow it loads the game just fine but when I quit the game and go back to hbc > wiiflow to run another game it hangs at the wiiflow loading screen.
So basically I have to turn the Wii off whenever I want to play another game.

I upgraded to 4.2 with dopmii from wiibrew and still having the same problem. Has anyone experienced this and is there a cure?

Thanks in advance :D

Which cIOS do you have installed? There are some very old versions which do have this bug (rev13 iirc).

i think also that its a cios issue.
Search for the a current HOW TO install USB LOADER/CIOS.

Than every thing schould work fine.

Why you upgraded to 4.2
The proposed frimeware is 4.1. Or you want to be up to date than 4.3.

I suggest make a online Update to 4.3 and hack your wii again ^^
Than you can start over to install cios new.

steffen: how can I find this out, I thought there was a program that can scan the NAND and show a summary of things installed?

I upgraded mine to 4.2 because my friend's Wii is 4.3 and when I installed wiiflow and the following
IOS245[37]
IOS246[38]
IOS247[53]
IOS248[55]
IOS249[56]
IOS250[57]
IOS251[58]
(v7)
it works just fine. She can exit a game and reload another without any problems. So I thought upgrading to more recent System Menu might resolve my problem. I tried installing the above IOSes on my Wii too but that didn't make a difference, other than it takes longer for the wiimote to respond/initialise after wiiflow is loaded. Anyway I would like to pinpoint the exact cIOS, don't want to update to 4.3 and lose bootmii (boot2) read somewhere that might happen with 4.3

thank you all for your help

Update: It seems I'm running an old version of wiiflow- 2.2RC1. Downloaded one of the new ones and I get an error that I need to upgrade to d2x cIOS 249 rev6
Will backup my NAND and give it a shot

AC_Orange, do you have hbc connecting to a wireless router? If not, it might be that tired old issue..

ALL my PAL Wiis work on 4.3. Some were safely upgraded some via WiFi.
And BootMii 2 works still fine.

To update all cios i use a german instruction.
I could post it but i don´t know how good you can work with.
And at the moment i have no time to translate it in my BAD english
