This is written pretty much from scratch and there are still many issues especially with the sound that's why I overlayed a nice music track.
There is obviously no way to use a GC controller on a Wii U and getting wiimotes/CC to work is way too complicated, so what I am using here is a PS3 controller connected via USB.
The Mega Man 10 channel is just my lazy way of loading sneek, don't need any fancy banners
HyperDuck SoundWorks - Hoy, Small Fry!
So, this is rather exciting. I remember earlier in the year, someone got a Gamecube game to boot on the WiiU, but had no way of actually playing it (I think it was also crediar, but I couldn't find the video on his channel). It's a work in progress, but it sure looks promising!
I mean, I may finally use my WiiU for something

crediar is attempting similar although I'm not sure he'll get as far in his efforts as tueidj..

Wired controllers should stay in the last decade where they belong.

excuse my ignorance, but does the game stream to the tablet controller? or is it onscreen only?

I'm just glad the Wii U scene is getting a lot of effort put into it behind the scenes.

agreed, its his same style to write an insult, get a response, then edit to "cover up" the original posting
his original post indicated something to the effect of:
as long as Crediar's work does not require DRM/verification
...or something like that....which was written to directly poke a finger at tueidj
i vote for another ban

You can pry my wired controllers out of my cold, dead hands! I like not having to worry about batteries.

And I would never trust any thing else for serious gaming. For the GameCube though, I've totally converted to the Wavebird, and the batteries last long enough if I remember to switch it off.

I prefer not having to worry about careless visitors yanking my console off its shelf and being able to sit a comfortable distance away from my big ass television.
If you don't want to worry about batteries I can strongly recommend the WiiU Pro controller - I've had once since the beginning of february, use it for approx. 10 hours a week and I've only had to charge it once (after the initial charge).

I didn't need his PMs accusing me of holding some imagined grudge to know that, I recognized his alternative nickname from other forums.

Solution: don't let those careless visitors near your Gamecube, or in your abode at all.
and being able to sit a comfortable distance away from my big ass television.
Use an extension cord?

Plus the Wifi/Motion Plus kill batteries very quickly.
I can only play Skyward Sword about maybe 3-4 hours before the batteries are dead.
Devolution is awesome though, SA2B levels load in about 2 seconds, NFS games run smoother.
Great work tueidj! I also checked & I see that Devo has 100% compatibility.
You must have worked with Nintendo or something to have such a phenomenal loader. (no offense to swiss though)

Is credular correct that it is too complex to get a wiimote or CC working. His solution of using a Ps3 controller thru the Wii u USB ports is most interesting. Raises further questions of how he implemented it ...
Perhaps this could be done with the awesome Devolution

It probably has something to do with the big libraries necessary to support Wii peripherals.

Devo finally able to use with Classic Controller. That's great news! I'll probably try it tomorrow. But I guess I switch to nintendont, when it gets released. I started with DIOS MIOS once and I'm still very thankful to crediar for programming such a masterpiece. And further he's really in contact with the community, answering to people on twitter daily, while tueidj doesn't even provide changelogs to his builds (except the current r200 of course).

I really don't understand people's obsession with changelogs.
If there's a bug in the program that affects you, test the newest version to see if it's fixed. If you aren't affected by any bugs and everything works as it should, why bother to update?

some people think they have to have the newest latest available...
and if it doesnt work our they want the newest to work just like the oldest/previous...
who would have thought about just using the version that works eh??
