The function to being able to reset Swiss with a button combination was already implemented? I remember it being discussed here a while back, but I didn't see anything about it on the SVN. It sure would come in quite handy... Having to reset the Cube altogether/making it read the burned disc again is kind of a hassle.

It's not there, I've just added a little bit of placeholder code for it. Shouldn't take long to do.

@ emu : I am getting allot of fragmented card issues. Some times you don't notices it untill you add something else on the card. Are you able to add fragmentation support or have you already done this??

Awesome work by the way with pumping out updates to swiss. :D

Issue 104 is marked as fixed, but for me with 2 Gamecubes it does not work. Does it mean it will not get fixed?

EDIT: Retested with r240. Same Problem.

I tried with 4 different SD Cards, 2 SDHC Cards, 2 SDML and 2 Gamecubes. Is there a debug-mode, logfiles or anything to get more information?

You'd need a USBGecko plugged in slot b.

Commission a friendly modder near you.

Anyway I flashed swiss 240 onto my wiikey it works great. Metroid prime is running happily. One thing I noticed with this release is it's not auto-sorting the files alphabetically, I think the older version did that.

@Drakon Thanks, but im searching for a USB - Gecko. I already own 2 SD Geckos. And i am happy happy with my SD Gecko, but have problems with newest version an sd-card-swaping.

@wii_HD :-(

@emu_kidid is there any possibility to log something to a file on the SD-Card in SD Gecko?

Someone here in Austria can borrow me a USB Gecko?

Haha whoops, I read "gecko" and automatically assume sd.

Anyway, is swiss supposed to alphabetically sort the files?

OK, if you're playing on a Wii you can press the eject button to swap discs.
Now how to use the disc swap function on a GC? Every time I try to open and close the lid, the game reads the disc that's inside the drive instead of the image file on the SD card and then I get either a freeze or a classic 'An error has occurred. Turn the Power Off and check the Nintendo GameCube Instruction Booklet for further instructions' screen.

Swiss running from Qoob's flash, games on a SD card. Files named according to the '1.xxx' and '2.xxx' convention.

It has been implemented long ago but it's probably broken. It's supported for dvd-r, but that's about it.

It looks like the disc swap started to go bad somewhere in v0.2, then got badly broken after some new stuff in v0.3.
I'm not sure the latest nightly build supports DVD-R swap, since it CRASHES whenever I try to change discs. I noticed all the older versions crash during the disc swap if I use low level patch + high memory location. The new automatic patch system might be behind the crashes.

I did some tests with the final releases:

swiss-0.3-r174 and swiss-0.2-r94 - detects the open lid, but does not not find the iso in the SD (at least not when I tried to go from disc 2 to disc 1). These might work with DVD-R.
swiss-0.1-r62 - swaps perfectly BUT crashes during a cutscene in RE, right before the boss fight and the disc change (only the latest nightly builds get past that part, running from the SD).

how I feel about it:

So I was testing stuff and noticed that the builds with the new WIP low patch system (revision 222 and up) get past the cutscene with Barry before the Lisa Trevor battle in Resident Evil. Awesome!
But it has side effects.... It increases most of the loading times (easily noticeable during the camera transitions in Resident Evil) and also breaks Megaman Network Transmission, disrupting the loading of at least one stage (the Waterworks). The stage either loads the Lan's room BGM, or no BGM at all. The game then becomes very unstable and crash prone.

I've been testing a 128GB SD card and have found that Swiss v0.3 (as well as r240) can't load anything past offset 08000000 from the WKF. The highest offset I've been able to successfully boot from the WKF was 07FBE282. Not sure if this is a hardware limitation of the WKF, or something that could be fixed in software.

However, booting games past 08000000 from SD Gecko on a 128GB card does work just fine. If it's a hardware limitation of the WKF, then it would appear that 64GB cards are the max that are fully supported.
