NHD-FFC36 no continuity

I purchased the breakout FFC NHD-FFC36 to install a wasp key fusion. After checking double and triple, my pinout I was having no luck getting my gamecube to boot into swiss, I actually only got the power light on the chip to come on a couple times. I decided to check continuity. on the NHD itself i cannot get get continuity from the pins on the bottom of the board to the pins on top. Has Anyone else experienced this problem?

drink some shiner...and drink some more...then try soldering everything again...
...thats usually how i solder...

it would help to post a pic of your board, but if your having issues with continuity on the board itself, then that is your main problem and unless you can resolder that FFC connector then you might be out of luck...

Ha yeah I think to many shiner's may be my issue. I'll check everything again in a more sober state.
