ICEDCube Cases "FOUND" VERY FEW Quantities!!!

Post by R3dfaction » Mon Apr 12, 2010 4:08 am

I googled the hell out of the internet trying to find Replacement Cases for the GC and I found one a couple weeks of go. I recently purchased form Multi Electronic City an ICEDCube Crystal Case for $22 bucks not including shipping.

I know most of you are goin to appreciate this post since they are VERY RARE to find (at least at a decent price) so I'm goin to be nice and share the site with you true GC- nerds like me  BTW Consider buying it NOW (if your in the market for a DVD-sized case to run your "backups") because there are limited quantities...

Not bad, I'd buy one but postage is mostly not worth it for me (To Australia):

Canada Post Parcel Surface International (USD$28.72)
Canada Post XPressPost International (USD$48.89)

Thanks for sharing though :)

yea was $11.84USD for basic shipping to IL, USA. Considering I have only found them in european countries that would of cost me $50-80USD for the Top only (no shipping added). I consider $24.82USD a good price for the Top case and Shipping. Though I admit it is sorta ridiculous that the Case Top and Mod Chip each has cost more then the Console it self seeing how I only paid $20USD for it used.

Though I don't mind putting that much into it seeing how it's the first console that has emulators (A specially NES and SNES) that look like the original systems on my TV. I've never been able to get that look with any other console or PC I've used. Add the GBA player for my GBA games and i have the best all-in-one Nintendo classics gaming system.

Hey R3dfaction,

Is Multi Electronics City reputable? Do they offer UPS, Fedex or DHL to the states? Thanks for any info you can share.

liquiit:

Unfortunately I didn't save any cause they were all Europe based stores and too expensive. Also that had been 3-4 months ago so I won't have any in my browser history. All I can say is use Google like I did and search.

tehscene:

From what I saw when I ordered it's all through the Post. just the rates very depending on level of service and shipping times you want. As for reputable they are using paypal witch I know doesn't mean too much other then they are not a hit and run place for credit cards. Other then that I can't say much until my case top arrives in 9-14 days.

Yea just got my case today, witch was a surprise i figured it would of been at least 4 more days. I ordered on the 12th and got it today the 17th so pretty quick shipping. it takes them about 2 days after you order to actually ship but that's typical.

Only complaint i have is that i ordered the top only and not the whole case cause of the cost of shipping. i had to cut some plastic and standoffs on the top to get it to fit over my MOD Chip witch is a Viper GC. also had to pry out the sides a bit to get it to fit right but other wise it works well and i would consider ordering from them again if i really needed to. Also side note is that it comes with 3 Emblem discs wich were a New Years XCM, Holloween XCM, and Qoob GC no Viper GC wich is sorta disappointing though not a real big issue.

any way happy i'm happy and if your in the states and looking for one of these cases i recomend them despite the $12 shipping.

Did you go with the standard shipping option emu_kidid? I'm also in aus and thought I'd save the $20USD by going standard. I thought canada post to international was pretty good when I've used it in the past. It's been about 7 weeks  hope to get it soon :|

yeah apparently it's 2-3 months standard! they're well worth the wait. I've installed one with a GC + ViperGC + programmer and the other with a Qoob PRO (love the usb ports they build in there)

I was thinking of buying some more (in case the first two I ordered got lost in the mail). Will be using the express shipping option in future. I guess that means I'll have to buy enough cases to make it worth my while :)

Btw emukidid instead of google ads have you thought of linking affiliate shops? just a suggestion, of course that depends on the traffic here...

Got mine today. Installed one already. It seems that they sent the top half of the xcm case and the bottom half of the icedcube case. I definately ordered the icedcube :? Oh well, cbf trying to sort it out, since the wait time on shipping would be killer. I'm going to see if I can take the gearing off my regular gc case and put on the lid of the new one. I don't like the way it flips open so fast. I'll also see if I can make a custom jewel for the lid. It came with the qoob one and a xcm new years one, don't have a qoob and I don't like the other one.

I think that site is extremely outdated. I think I might've emailed the admin and he said something along the lines of "sorry we don't stock anything anymore".
