Raspberrypi and Gamecube

Post by ArchReaper450 » Sun May 17, 2015 6:33 pm

So I'm new to modding a gamecube, I've done it on my PS2 so I can handle the soldering. I have a raspberry B+ that I'd rather use it as a modchip (since the new pi2 came out). My first question is:

What's the difference between XenoGC and ViperGC? I understand the ViperGC has more features.

How do I compile and program the raspberrypi?

My GameCube is DOL-001 and I read somewhere that the original one with the red letters don't work with specific chips. If there is no problem with using the RaspberryPi then I plan on stripping it and wiring it up.

this is the only case I have seen I pi intergrated into a cube;

In all honesty a WASP fusion does everything a Xeno GC would do but better.

Can WaspFusion be put on the pi or do I need to buy one?

Yeah all the Pi can do is run the xenogc code since it's essentially a big microcontroller. All I use it for myself is booting swiss. Probably just my drive but I couldn't successfully play a burnt backup.

I was thinking it could be cool if a pi could connect to bluetooth controllers and pass them through to the GC

I have no idea how much lag that would cause though.

Should be feasible if joybus isn't too fast.

it would be nice to pass rumble onto wireless controllers as well

or would an ardino be more suited?

It's not possible, this has already been discussed.

That's not what he was talking about (which was using the pi as a BT host, which would pretty much turn a GC into a wii).

Oh in this case, anything fast enough to handle the controllers with bluetooth should work perfectly fine.

Edited was to delete:
I see that you already have some knowledge in PI + :P
if you play a scheme in:
Raspberry Pi 3 B +
&
Zero_W:

But the question is: I saw that there is already one for the Raspberry PI 1, which you created and posted in another post.
where I live, PI3 and PI0 are easier to find.

Or Arduino, which is even more accessible here [/ u] ;) :P
