The Xbox One is now capable of offering true backward compatibility.
Recently with all the hype surrounding the "fake" backwards compatibility offered by the PS4
which is a farce of connecting you to a remote ps1/ps2/ps3 in japan.
This got me thinking - so if the Xbox One has an entire 360MODE inside
could it be manipulated to play not just 104 titles but all??
Why? You may ask what is the point.
#Bring new 360 titles to the Xbox quicker than MS
#Challenge to re explore ROM Injection
#360MODE is complete, all the hard work of emulation is done
#True backward compatibility
#A chance to bring in old faces from the Xbox scene and Wii commun
Also to discuss possibilities of this and whether this is actually possible.
Personally I'm very new to any kind of coding so this is beyond me.
Looking forward to hearing any new ideas )

Re: X One 360 Rom Injection
I'm fairly sure that their backwards compatibility is by compiling the executable code with the Xbox One XDK. Besides it's all signed code anyway, you would not get very far.
Re: X One 360 Rom Injection
How would you inject something anyway? You put in your 360 disc, it gets analyzed and then lets you download a XBONE version of that game. If the 360 gets emulated, you would not have to redownload the game again. It's most likely as emu said.

Re: X One 360 Rom Injection
Ahh i see so its signed code so would n't be as easy.
I thought would be a case of copying game to PC, building an Injector program
and then moving back onto the X One.
-However if any game could be injected into, say Fallout 3 then each time this is done
the previous 360 game and its saves are destroyed.
Anyway like you says, without Official signing this is stuck on drawing board. Right??

Lol, no, you need the disc inserted at all times to play it.tueidj wrote:Wait, they stole my disc verification?!

Re: X One 360 Rom Injection
So yeh thats a big obstacle!!
Even with the tasks of:: Extracting Fallout3.xbe then building ROM Injector.
the Copying back to X One Console would n't be possible without Official MS Signature.
Nevermind, MS are going to port the best games slowly but surely.
Besides I'm actually more forward to the new X One Games like Fallout, Sunset OD, and COD
