1. Game is working / partially working (thumb up)
+ checkboxes for small things like sound stutter (weight 1)
+ checkboxes for bigger things like DRE ingame (weight 2)
-> calculate rating

2. game is not working (thumb down)
+ checkboxes for all not-working stuff (like green / black screen)
-> rating = 0
Actually You don't have to mark the fields that are not checked. I was thinking of something different, in this case it is irrelevant the result is the same with either way...
Your division seems good, let's get this working :D

also, you might want to add an edit/delete function for these reports.
i'm thinking about new versions of swiss here. if it didnt work on the old version, maybe it does on the new one?
are we even going to delete all reports if a new version is released? since the negative score might be lying if it works with the new version...

since this is php it might be easy to control this via the url so we could add this feature to swiss :D
if your gamecube is connected to the WAN you could give your voice after loading it...oh well, i'm dreaming again, but i was serious on the upper part :)

Not really, because the score will only be based in the <insert number here> last reports. And you can always go report by report to see what was said about each version. But it would be nice if we could group the reports by version of swiss.

Currently rating is calculated like "sum(rating in last 10 reports) / 10"

In list for every game, there are tables for different versions of swiss.

I already implemented a little administration area with login.
currently features:
- multi user
- status moderator / admin

as moderator:
- view pending reports
-- enable X, Y and ... pending report
-- delete pending report, if spam
- change my password

as admin same as mod, plus:
- add/remove moderator
- add/remove version of swiss to list
will add things like:
- disable all reports for swiss version X
- disable all reports older than x days

probably more

Could you make sure that stuff that won't work ever, doesn't affect the rating? Like the missing audio streaming that most likely will never work for SD-Gecko and ide-exi? I would say an extra column where you can see what audio exactly is missing, would be better than a negative rating.

I'd never say never - with DMA possibly coming to the ide-exi it might be..

It looks like someone has messed up the compatibility wiki.

Progress: I created a "add report" form, available at http://swicoli.111mb.de

It is only a demo at this point, what do you think about it?
What can i improve?

I think it's better if you don't let choose the swiss version, it is easier by typing because otherwise you must add every new version...

which isn't much to do at all....
also, this way you can control which version is obsolete

when r29 is out, nobody needs compatibility reports for r4

Yes, adding new swiss version is easily done via the admin-panel.

I think the last 5 revisions are enough to choose, cause you should not use any older revision, since there are features not implemented or serious bugs (like hdd erase) in it, that can cause your game not running at all.

With IDE-EXI, do you also mean the SD gecko's? ;)

Also, DMA would be awesome, but I thought it was kinda impossible to fix that?
I tried to understand the shift-register-data-destroying-'bug' a bit reading this. :)

Darkmystery, it's possible on the ide-exi but not on SDGecko without some extra logic chip in the middle to handle it.

Should there be a checkbox for games that require pre-patching or should we leave that in the "personal notes" field?
Also, maybe you can make an optional filter so we can list only games which have (recent) reports?
