Would It Be Possible To Send GBA Roms To A Gameboy Player?

Post by AnonymousIdea » Sun Jan 22, 2017 9:02 pm

Forgive My Stupidity. It is already possible to send GB and GBC games to a Gameboy Player with GoombaSend, But would it be possible to send a GBA rom to a Gameboy Player in any way? If so, a gameboy player without a disc could be the cheapest way to play any gameboy advance game ever made, as well as homebrew and patches. It would be amazing.

I really don't think it is possible, given the amount of memory available.

hmm... perhaps if someone made a special memory card, or the game was streamed somehow... either way, the transfer is very interesting and it will be exciting to see if anyone puts it to use in an unseen way.

From what I know: No.

Ram in the gba is not enough to hold an actual GBA rom (Goombasend is an "gba game" in the gba ram). Cheapest option would be a flash card.
Own a couple PAL and JPN cubes. And three BBAs. Homeland and PSO I/II.

Yeah it's impossible to stream the game off the GC, the only way to properly load a full ROM is through the cart port, and at this point you might as well get a flashcart.
