Software rendering is much slower than hardware. One advantage it has it to test glitches and other bugs; it's pretty much useless for casual gaming.
Net_Bastard wrote:For some reason I can't get Glide64 to work. It just says "glide3x.dll not found" when it's clearly there.
What kind of video card do you have, and is it up to date? Just as a precaution, put glide3x.dll in both the PJ64 executable and plugin directories.

we have no clue when the new release will be out. We work on it when we can - if I was to give you an ETA, the ETA would be 1 month to 2 years - that's how uncertain our free time is. Oh I meant Wii64 was/has been using a hardware renderer.

When we first ported our work for WiiSX, we used PEOPS Soft GPU because the OpenGL version was still closed source.

(I wonder how WiiSX's sound emulation is now, or rather, if it's based off of Eternal SPU?)

Donations are always a motivation booster since it lets us know how much you guys still want to see a new version. We're making progress nevertheless! :)
