Has Anyone made a working web browser for wii?
Has Anyone made a working web browser for wii?
I have seen webservers for the wii as a application, but most of the time they dont work properly on the wii. (When I use them, they all boot back to HBC ) i dont understand....... can someone make a working web browser? by the way what i mean by web browser is a internet explorer capable of playing some internet games and loading up pages with lots memory. anyway I do use Opera(internet channel) for wii, Thats how I Login on this forum...... i mean something with more memory. some websites say on here: Were not Ready for opera users yet!

I can't imagine that there's much interest in running a webserver/browser on a Wii. You're better off doing this using the PC.

based on what you said here, you need a web browser not a web servermikog wrote:what i mean by webserver is a internet explorer capable of playing some internet games and loading up pages with lots memory.

That was my initial reaction as well but I wasn't sure if some of the internet games were implemented using server side technology.AC_Orange wrote:based on what you said here, you need a web browser not a web servermikog wrote:what i mean by webserver is a internet explorer capable of playing some internet games and loading up pages with lots memory.

You could try running one of the linux kernels with Wifi support. They should have full scale web browser support built in. If I'm not mistaken this does require a system with the bottmii boot2 replacement installed.

There's no alternative to opera channel on a Wii. There was an open source web browser in the works, but it was abandoned long time ago before anything noteworthy was acomplished
