Opening the sound effect files from F-Zero GX with Audacity

Hi there.
I noticed that you can somehow open the sound effect files from F-Zero GX via Audacity, by using the "Import->Raw Data" function. These files are stored into the snd\normal_se directory.

You can get the best-sounding audio clips by opening the PACK2.bin file. Use these settings:

Encoding: Signed 8-bit PCM
Byte order: Little endian
Channels: 2 channels (stereo)
Frequency: 16000 Hz

Some good quality audio will come out of the left speaker at the end of the file.

To hear any of the other clips, open any file with the following settings:

Encoding: VOX ADPCM
Byte order: Little endian
Channels: 1 channel (mono)
Frequency: 18500 Hz

Unfortunately, while somewhat intelligible, the resulting audio will be extremely muffled and low-quality. I believe these clips are encoded in a different ADPCM format that Audacity doesn't have. I think we can succeed in extracting proper sound clips from these files if we find the correct ADPCM format...
