I need to grab a non LBA48 (just plain LBA and maybe CHS if I get time) hdd and fix it, it's possibly broken (this has been untested for a while).

Swiss development resumes tomorrow - hoping to crush lots of bugs and put in some new features.

Does the speed of the SD card affect gameplay? I've been playing Tales of Symphonia and Baten Kaitos lately, they're playable but the sound glitches, buzzes and slowdows are quite annoying... Would a class 10 card make any difference?

It might possibly, but I would never expect 100% perfection without further hacks.

If I remember correctly there is a modded r33 that someone made with the cheat system enabled posted on the board somewhere.

What I hope everyday to see materialized for Swiis is a better video mode support. What I mean is that it is very tiresome to manually change everytime your console's video mode (or the cables) from 480p to 480i or 576i.Emu_kidid ,please give it a shot...

we also have a feature request thread ( http://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewto ... f=25&t=406 )

it will be easier to keep track of the requests, when they're all in one thread. let's keep this on swiss itself and the bugs that occur
please search before you ask - a lot has been discussed already!

Hi everyone, I'm new user here

Thanks a lot for Swiss, emu_kid. Great Work!

I tested 3 games on my Wii USA, all NTSC games:

Resident Evil Code Veronica X - Playable, but very laggy cutscenes (only in video), and some noises (tolerate).
Resident Evil Remake - Playable. But... much worse than Code Veronica. The noises are terrible and happen all the time. The cutscenes are very bad too.
Zelda Wind Waker - Apparentely good. But I need more testing.

Anyway, I do not have a game cube's original disc. So, I'm using the Wii Sports dvd
I'm thinking about buying some secondhand cheap GC game. But, it will be really better than with the Wii Sports?

By the way, I'm addict in GC, but I never had one. So, when I get my Wii... I got that d3-2 driver
But now, with Swiss, my dream is possible! Please, keep updating and working with Swiss!

Your job is great! Thank you a lot.

Thanks!

Also, in regards to your question, a GC disc will not make a difference, Wii disc is the same as far as Swiss is concerned.

I'm new as well, registered to ask a question. I'll start by saying thanks however, as I greatly appreciate the work you've put into swiss.

I don't know if this has been asked before, as I haven't read the entire thread (though I have read portions), but is there any way the disc requirement could be removed? I got swiss working on my brother's wii perfectly, and it ran the games I tried quite well. But my wii's disc drive is dead and won't recognize discs anymore. So when I tried swiss on mine, it just said there was no disc present and wouldn't run.

I kind of expected this, so I'm not hoping for much, but it would be awesome if I could use swiss on the wii with the dead disc drive as well

Thanks

Try un-shrunk ISO, and don't use a component cable (or 480p) if you are.

There are games (Tales of Symphonia for example) that work in the test version but don't in rev29, will they also work with rev33?
emu_kidid wrote: Yes. Don't prepatch those though (pre-patcher is going to get an overhaul soon)
Finally I tried last rev33 this weekend (I played ToS for about 14 hours :P). The game works, kinda, there were some issues but maybe it was just a coincidence. Every few hours, when I was switching screens to a different area, I would get a black screen. I played about 6 hours using rev33 and this happened 3 times. Then I played 8 hours using the test version and it never happened. Coincidence?

Also the "Stop Motor" function doesn't work, I get a black screen as soon as I try to load the game.

Thank you people!
But didn't work
Stay crashing (black screen) after the Dolby Sound logo
And when it shows the Nintendo logo (Mario screams) I only heard noises
I downloaded my gcm file by torrent, it has 1,5gb
I guess it's not shrunk.
Maybe it's a file problem? Because other people could run Mario Kart Double Dash, just like the guy from the other topic.
Anyway, the gcm file works on Dolphin (I only use for testing)

Thank you all anyway!

EDIT: I used GC-Tool, and the option "Wipe garbage files on ISO", and now it's working!!!!
Some audio bugs, but working playable!
I don't know why, but I will try the same with the other games I tested.
Maybe they will run better
