Did it have heavy disc reads?, RE0 and Eternal Darkness used DRE like crazy for me.
RE0 it happened nearly everytime you picked up a item or transfered them to Billy in the hatch.

I've also got these, just for testing out.
As emu_kidid said, they are cheap-o.

Anyway, on my Viper chipped DOL-001 (EUR), they give quite some DRE's. (Ohm value: 200)
On my XenoGC chipped DOL-101 (EUR), they work very well. No DRE's whatsoever. (Ohm value: 265)

Actually I don't really care wheter they're cheap or not. For the moment, they work. Actually one disc was physically broken. What do you think are the advantages of "expensive" discs?

So what's the consensus here? What to buy and from where? Any ebay links even?
Greatly appreciated!

this is a thread asking for mini dvd-r and also a place to share links to shops and ebay auctions etc.
just browse the last 3 pages - a lot of links were posted. it definetly became harder to get ahold of these though :/

I've read through the three previous pages several times and can't find a single link to a shop with ritek g04s. At least not one that ships to EU.
Ebay doesn't give any results at all on ritek g04.

Welcome to my world :D that's exactly my problem right now :)
I'll try to convince somebody in the US to buy some off ebay and then ship them to me.
I've emailed so many of them already and nobody wants to ship to Germany/the EU. Bummers.

Would there be any interest to do a group order of some kind here to get the discs over to Europe?
I'm personally more interested in getting them at all rather then the price point.

Anyway, best way to find out is to try. Since lot's of Gamecubes respond differently to disks.

just go to ebay and type in "ritek ridata" they r cheap. i bought the cheapest ones on ebay and put them in my dvd burner and the media code is ritek g04. and they work in my gamecube without adjusting the pot i just had to clean my laser lens and the dvd has to be absolutely perfect no scratches and if even a spec of dust gets on them they won't read
