gcos or swiss for dvd

Post by whitewolf80 » Sun Mar 13, 2011 4:59 am

which one is more compatible for dvd booting, or does it matter? By the way I notice that gcos doesnt make any laser readjustment sounds and when booting with swiss I hear a couple clicks. Thanks.

from a hardware perspective? the games seem to work better on swiss, although the sound the laser makes when it is loading games concerns me. What could be doing that? Should I be looking at a laser replacement? It sounds like a grinding click. If it sounds like Im saying the software is at fault that is not it at all.

havnt tried pso episode 3. I have tried metroid prime baten kaitos tales of symphonia and pso 1&2 and none of them worked. although tales of symphonia froze at the licensed by nintendo screen. I am almost certain that they were bad media. paper mario black screened at the hooktail dragons castle. once again bad media im sure. everything else i have is fine. I can write up a list if you want/need it.

The grinding click should only be there if you load the dvd, if it is in game it is a re-read, you should avoid this because it get's your laser down.
Try adjusting the POT or try better media.
