Hi there

I'm a big fan of the GameCube of course, it's probably my favorite console because even though it has fewer games both in quantity and variety compared to the SNES for example, it had the best potential in my opinion and it came out in the most fascinating generation of video games, GC Forever!

Welcome, it's a great console to go back to every once in a while for sure. I'm still reminded what a great console it is every time I use it.

Thanks, yeah the GameCube really has something special, it's original, its hardware is well balanced, the graphics are clean and were fascinating at the time (games from the beginning of the console's life like Rogue Leader and Starfox Adventure and Metroid Prime remained among the most beautiful games of the entire generation), the mini-DVDs, its games which although few in number had gems and original games as well as big exclusives, ect.

Welcome here.
It's true that this generation was the first where we had convincing 3D rendering with appropriate controllers.
There are many games that are incredibly good, and not only Nintendo's in-house franchises.
DMG/MultiFreq OC/EDGB/EZF Jr, AGB/SC miniSD, NTR/NeoMK3, USG/flashme V8/SC miniSD
DOL001(EUR)/RGB/GCPlug/GBP/SD2SP2, RVL 001(EUR)/RGB/CMP/WiiSD

Zelda WW with Tingle Tuner in split screen was what the GC RF modulator was made for! (Video)

Thank you
Another aspect that I like with the graphics of this generation is that they looks realistic and unique at the same time and still impressive, while from the next generation the level of realism reached made the games start to look more and more alike.

It sure is a big stepstone between old world videogames and new (current) generation, it had a span of output possibilities going from RF output that could accomodate the older TV sets still up and running, to digital AV output, that can be understood (thanks to some conversion boxes) by the last 4K sets.
(Yes, 8K TVs may give up on supporting 480i/p sources, but there are newer conversion solutions with upscale ability that doesn't rely on GCVideo anymore.)
It was also a generation that expanded its gaming possibilities with re-edition of older console's games through embedded emulator games, such as in Midway arcade treasures, Zelda collector's and OOT/MQ, Sonic Mega collection, Namco Museum… That didn't happen this much in previous generations, except for the G&W Gallery series, and I'm not sure we can exactly talk about emulation.
GB pokémon playing on the N64 is ruled out, as it relies on an Hardware add-on to read an external rom off a cartridge (so does the Datel's Advanced Game Port on the GameCube).
