We have no way to control the lid switch without attaching a wire to it.... Everything else is being made such that you won't need any other wires. I hope all goes well with this but I must unfortunatly mention I may have to be bumped off the list for now. My money just went into a new wii....

Not sure. I posted a thread in the general chat section. I was attempting to install my sundriver but when I connected the power cord it would only show a red light for a split second and then it turned yellow and wont boot.... I've taken it all apart checked everywhere for a loose screw or something that could short it out and couldn't find anything wrong with it... I don't know what I did.... I did however get a damaged one with nothing more than a broken disc drive and cosmetic where from me tearing it open to reflash the nand. A friend installed the infectus and I flashed bootmii to boot2 and used it to bring the wii back to life. The disc drive was broken ages before the brick... I paid $50 bucks for a prehacked (I did the HBC install ect after the flash so I know whats on it already) unit ready to take my sundriver and that works with boot2 bootmii so I'm at least going to have a wii in two weeks when he comes home from school... Either way I'm way off topic here so If you wanna discuss further just post in the thread RIP Wii that I posted.

I've already buy this adapter but it isn't compatible.
Pinout doesn't match and some pin are not connected.

I MIGHT be interested in one of these as a final solution if you can guarantee it'll work on a Q...? Dunno if the connector/solder points of the GC parts differ tbh.

I'm not sure I've ever even seen the insides of a Panasonic Q. Even if this adapter would work though I'm pretty sure you would loose the DVD functionality of the unit as the passthru of the WODE/Wiikey hasn't yet been tested hooking the GC drive back up. Right now the WODE/Wiikey replaces the DD completely.

I'm happy to say though that I've ordered everything needed to make these adapters 100% completely plug and play, even the lidswitch.

It should work ok on a Panasonic Q but yes, you would most likely lose the DVD playback entirely.

all the GC's just arrived along with a "broken" Wii that I got for 30$. Hmmm, what to do with that.... :D

I'll get started tearing them apart and desoldering the connectors soon. Need to make some time to work on Emu's GC Fusion now that the paint is fully dried also.

Sure man, anyone who needs bits and pieces of GC's let me know. I should have err... lots of spare parts. All the units work but some of them don't read discs. prob just need a nice pot adjustment.
