Also, IDE-EXI support is broken in r7 - fixed it but I will have to wait until tonight to upload a new binary.
Thanks.

Is the way I'm loading the Swiss DOL the reason the games don't play?
No.

What is the recommended cluster size for a FAT32 SD card? Does a big cluster size Improve the performance?

At the moment, no. A file needs to be contiguous on the SD/HDD so cluster size/etc won't make any difference. I will add in file fragmentation support later.

Zelda CE (NTSC) Works fine! I was using the old pre-patcher, not the new R7 one. Sorry.

Deal Extreme Item Link
Thanks!
I haven't seen anyone answer this yet, so I'll let you know how I'm doing it
I currently have a 32 GB SDHC card in that exact same adapter with this setup:
Wii Swiss Booter located in:
./apps/Swiss/boot.dol
swiss-0.1-r7 located in:
./apps/Swiss/swiss.dol
The only two games I've ripped so far:
./Gamecube/GZLE01.iso
./Gamecube/GALE01.iso
(Melee and Wind Waker, respectively. Both working perfectly

)
Make sure you have a CMIOS installed first, I got the one
linked here
Then I just go to homebrew channel, select SDGecko Slot B, and load swiss
edit: I've updated to using the Wii channel forwarder found
here
This is the setup on my hdd:
./apps/Swiss/boot.dol
./apps/Swiss/swiss.dol
The games are still located on the SDHC card in the adapter in slot B

is still for sale? It is possible to create a version that works with ARA or an exploit of some original game?

After Swiss development calms down I plan to get all that sorted. Particularly a 2 stage loader, one which will get installed on a memory card.

Twilight princess? If SD Gecko + sd card could work like a memory card, then it should be more than doable.

- cMIOS installed
- SD gecko + 2GB SD card in slot B
- SD card content
Code: Select all
--> Wii swiss booter
sd:/apps/Swiss/boot.dol
sd:/apps/Swiss/icon.png
sd:/apps/Swiss/meta.xml
--> swiss 0.1 r7
sd:/apps/Swiss/swiss.dol
NOTES:
- black screen when the games are supposed to load
- tested games: super mario sunshine (PAL), zelda the wind waker (PAL)
- sd-boot 0.4 RC4 works fine with these games

when you say it works in sd-boot 0.4 RC4, are you booting that the same way as swiss?

Skies of Arcadia Legends (NTSC-U): Working.
Swiss 0.1 R7 running on:
- DOL-001;
- SDML.
I've gone past the point where the game would freeze when booted with SDBoot 0.4. The game suffers from hilarious sound hickups when loading anything (sound is warped so bad, it seems like it's coming from a NES), but it's perfectly playable.
My bad past experience with the game was due to my using the SDML disc in the drive. Thanks for clearing things up, emu_kidid. You should definitely put those instructions in the first post of the topic.

do we realy need an exploit? I mean that time we can buy sd loader dvd which enables to load homebrew on every gamecube. Which game did you find an expoit? Maybe we get something like the homebrew channel on wii?

- Changed relative branching to direct branching (mtctr,bctrl) (fixed 007 Everything or nothing)
- Possibly more titles fixed - please test

- Fixed broken ide-exi code
- Swiss now checks the version a game was pre-patched with

only downside is that you will need to pre-patch your games again (from the original iso). This shouldn't happen very often only with large changes to the way games are patched.
