Gundam Style:
DOL-001(JPN)
IPL NTSC Revision 1.1
WKF 1.5 JAP FW update (does the region really make any difference?)
WBFS formatted SD card
Japanese game.
No DVD drive (it was faulty anyway, otherwise I would never do this to a special edition!)
It's a bit messy to look at, but it was really just a proof of concept until I know what I'm doing. The only points of interest are:
The cables are soldered through the motherboard, which was easier than I thought;
Longish cables are OK;
The breakout board had downward facing contacts, unlike the WKF which are upward facing;
The breakout board connector does not open like the WKF one does (bad news if you need to fold the end of the FFC over);
The WKF can survive being switched on with all the pins in the reverse order...
The recent discovery of autoboot has inspired me to continue with my project to build an everlasting, silent GameCube.
My next attempt will hopefully include:
No eject switch;
FFC soldered directly to the motherboard?
Silent cooling?
A proper camera.
Thank you to everyone who spent weeks or months (without even knowing if it was going to work) making it possible to replace the GC drive with a WKF.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that the plastic tray (with the lid switch) will go in it's usual place, the breakout board will go on top of that, and the WKF will go on top of the breakout board. I will try to get rid of the eject switch (currently attached to the EMR shield).

Sorry, I thought it was a rule of the forum that attachments had to be zip files.

I don't know I think that's pretty awesome, if he looks after that well I think it would be a pretty good testament to the gamecube.

There's at least two games on each card - labeled back and front.

i think the little SD cards are a great idea...
the purpose of of using a drive replacement such as WKF or WODE is to offset the actual use of a DVD drive to save its lifespan....
i really love the little printed labels...very cute

Looks like yours is printed on a proper label. Nice, I should get some sheets of those. Mine are just printed on photo sticker paper then cut out. 225X300, 300dpi.

Arcade over at Assembler Games created the GameCube SD image posted above.
He also created other labels for use on Everdrive carts, here is his gallery

EDIT
SD card image is open to share.
IMPORTANT
Changed file extension from .pdf to .zip - the forum software does not allow upload of .pdf documents so rename back to .pdf to view image.
