I am dumb using dd, i admit it!!
Could you write your instructions, making a iso using dd , i would pay you,if it is needed,
i am using windows 7 64 bit, dd doesnt react to commands,it just repeat the command i typed
example:
dd --list
dd --list
etc,
i dont know if sd card must be empty, formated, blank?i know it must be in sd card reader
i dont know if the file must be iso,or raw data,or img??
help please,if you can??
thanks

I have no idea how to use dd on windows but the basic syntax is dd if=<path-to-ISO> of=<drive (maybe just E:\ ? or whatever's the letter of your SD card)>

I'm preparing a SD card (FAT32) with audio streaming games for the future release of Swiss. On
http://www.gc-forever.com/wiki/index.ph ... _Streaming says Resident Evil (Remake) uses audio streaming. Is that correct? If yes, where?
Thx

It likely doesn't, a lot of games signal that they use audio streaming (via a flag in the disc header) when they actually don't.

So, that list on the wiki isn't accurate? :/

haven't been using my GC for a while and first thought this would be a hardware issue like some soldering broke, but I tested a bit and now I think it's software related.
Nightly Build Version: I got this error on r296 and also tried r289.
Hardware: PAL GC
Hardware configuration: WODE with FW 2.9B (Boot Version 01.01; FPGA Version 02.00; HW Version 1);
Using a 64 SDXC "SAVETEC Ultra Performance, Class 10"
BBA is plugged in, but not connected
Boot method: Patched swiss_r296(pal).iso with
PWCI to use it as a startup ISO for WODE
Info: The SWISS iso gets mounted in WODE and I select it to boot in the GC menu. Swiss boots to device selection. I select WODE and press "A" and receive a "Exception (DSI) occurred!" (
photo attached here)
When I eject the auto-mounted SWISS iso and manually select a ISO or even the stock-WODE menu with the hardware display and buttons I can play my games.
I also tried to mount a unpatched SWISS ISO but same error.
EDIT: Tried an older version now and everything works. I'm back at r174 now
I luckily discovered that you can use r296 with wode (2.9 Fw), but you need a sd adapter with sd card inserted in the memory card slot, A or B makes no difference, in that way no error and Swiss works flawlessly, glad if this could help someone.

I'll be curious if anyone has given this a try. Might jump from running my GC games on the Wii to my GC if the audio streaming works well.

A few things to note about new release on qoob flash: If you go into swiss from qoob pro flash with a disc in the tray then back out then back into DVD disc in swiss it will say Lid open press A opening and closing the Lid does nothing. USB gecko shows twice in swiss info settings. Audio streaming from SD gecko works well need to try IDE-EXI later. For some reason my memory card won't work always says format unless I force encoding then it seems fine.
Will flash WASP tonight.
Thanks for the release

The lid open stuff is going to be caused by the Qoob lid switch still being controlled by the Qoob itself, I just have my switch wired without the qoob wires.

Why does it have a lid switch bypass anyway ?

So you can boot up the console with the lid open and it would still read the game. When I had my SX hooked up I would start the console with swiss in the tray then when swiss would come up I could place a game in then close the lid and swiss would then read the game
If you watch my youtube shuriken video review you could see me doing this with the first game I load F-zero GX. I'm sure that its there for 2 disc games like resident evil

I am having an issue with Nightly Build R321. I am booting swiss via WKF with mega v4 games work fine with WKF but when I attempt to load a game from ide-exi, it gives me an error "Too many patches enabled memory limit reached". IDE-EXI does work using an old version of swiss r253 on another cube. I have been unable to find any old versions of Swiss to flash back to. Any ideas or links to old versions would be appreciated.

What game, what patches are enabled? The IDE-EXI patch is larger than the rest and if a game has multiple DOL files it will want to patch each of them. Some patches are copied many times in memory due to the way they're written.

I've tried quite a few games all with the same result. But for example "alien hominid". I have never messed with patches before. They are stock isos as far as i know. Where do I enable and disable them? Or see what patches are being enabled? Thank for the help.

Swiss needs to patch the games on the fly to do its thing. All of that happens in RAM and won't affect your ISO files, you can't disable patches manually.

Try to disable audio streaming in the game options, see if that makes a difference (the downside is obvious of course).

Disabling audio streaming didn't change anything. I'm going to try the 3.5 IDE now and see what happens.
