No. It dosnt. Btw sorry about posting the sdk tech demo without permission.
EDIT: On 0.2 it only seems to want to read the games 15% of the time all the other times it says "failed to create configuration file" Could it be becase I may have a faulty SD gecko? I'll see if I can get the same results of reading the game 15% of the time on 0.3 when I get home.

Yesterday I formated my 2GB SD card FAT16 with 64kb clusters to speed up reading from SD gecko. I shut down my PC to play a bit F-ZERO and checked out Swiss 0.3 before sleep but Swiss gave me an error saying that it couldn't create a configuration file. I assume it's because Swiss doesn't have code to handle 64kb clusters?

Cluster size doesnt make the slightest difference with Swiss. Just don't use 64

I hate to sound like a broken record, but since my question was never addressed: what are the plans for IDE-EXI support in Swiss for the future?

According to the wiki, Super Smash Bros. Melee works fine with revision 136, though you must choose 60Hz mode. I tried the game yesterday with revision 174 and it never asked me which refresh rate I wanted the game to use, and proceeded to render in clipped 480p.
Aside: Is that called imaginary 576i? The signal was definitely progressive scan otherwise I would have gotten a black screen.

It seems that it wasn't a cluster size related issue. You have to repeat the writing process till it works.
I'm also having problems to get Swiss to recognize the cheat db I downloaded from the swiss google code site.
Edit: It works know. Didn't know that I had to load the cheat db first with the A button before loading the game.
Edit2: Sadly GUN freezes after the Licensed to screen

I updated the compatibility list but noticed there is no differentiation between PAL, NTSC and NTSC-J. I doubt that PAL and NTSC games have the same compatibility.

yep this was made on purpose

So they have the same compatibility? I saw compatibility lists in the past that have games working for one region and not working for another region (or partially working for another region/different results/performance). See here for example:
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Gamecube_B ... ility_List
Animal Crossing NTSC-U: Works
Animal Crossing PAL: Doesn't work
Call of Duty 2 PAL: Works
Call of Duty 2 NTSC-U: Works partially
Or here:
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/GCOS_Gamec ... _List:_PAL
Zelda: Collector's Edition PAL: Doesn't work
Zelda: Collector's Edition NTSC-U: Works

Cubelover, it really can depend on a lot of factors. i.e. PAL vs NTSC console might influence different regions of games to work. Animal Crossing PAL I know was ripped/dumped differently, using a full disc 1:1 ISO dump works ok, but the 40mb ISO doesn't.
I'd probably not go into PAL vs NTSC compatibility, if one works, that's good enough for me.

I'm back with yet another problem. hate to be such a pain.

But when I try to load Luigi's Mansion NTSC it freezes at the title screen. I know SD gecko is a WIP but I was wondering if anone else was having the same problem. I have it on high patching and no diskdrive set to yes. And I've tried setting disable interrupts to no and yes.

I just got reading from SDGecko happening with no stutter in games!! This isn't by muting audio or anything I've done in the past, this is an actual improvement on the way reading is done in games with SDGecko

I'll post a video up tonight! 0.4 should be the best release ever

So, uhm... the video?

...I'm just curious how you did it? Feel free to be technical about it, I'll understand
some of it
Also some usefull info for Wii users: you can load swiss iso through DiosMios(Lite), didn't test with 0.3, but 0.2 worked just fine for me (with DML and DML-booter). Saves you from instaling different cmios.

still fine tuning the code - it's great on certain games, but some nothing can really be done for them.

Nice work emu_kidid

A doubt:
A friend of mine is playing Resident Evil Remake (two discs) and he want to know if swap function is working. He's playing from a GC with a Qoob Pro modchip.
Thanks!

Playing from DVD or SD? Both should work if the files are named properly on the SD card.
I am going to alter this behaviour in the future because if you don't have a GameCube DVD drive how would you open/close the lid?

Yes, sorry I forgot to mention, he's playing from a SD.
But what exactly does mean "named properly"?
Thanks to answer Emu!

gamename-disc1.gcm
gamename-disc2.gcm

Swiss 0.3, with lot of new gifts in it this time, thanks.
Graphics in 16:9 (and also 576p in the future) are a big improvement on wide-screens for me (Extrems

). You said that multi-dol games won´t work on read-only sources, but can they be prepatched on write sources (or at all)? And I think widescreen support is as far as it can reach now, it works (partly) or not on a game? Nintendo games I tried (SSBM, Mario Party, Mario Sunsine) seems to like widescreen

, but the Prince of Persia series ignore the patch completely.
Edit: oh, and another thing. Backed up save file .gci from Resident Evil 4 (NTSC) with Swiss 3.0 (WKF) to SDGecko. Put it back with Swiss, but RE4 says its corrupted now. Tried again with a fresh RE4 save to be sure, and same error. Is the backed up .gci safe, or isn´t it reliable yet? Maybe RE4 is one with protected save games too..
