I'm not sure I understand the jist of it all but I think infacts method uses the Wii disc hex offset (or something) to allow the shrunken GC iso and only works for files under 2mb. If it were used on a real GC iso I think it breaks the way the Wiikey reads those files from the SD card? Someone feel free to clarify if I'm wrong.

You can always PM a link to a curious party but I wouldn't recomend posting about it. Piracy is what it is weather it's for research/testing or not...

@ashen: Exactly, but considering the 1mb fake header, the disc max size is 1mb (1mb + 1mb= 2mb

).
@hugo: I will release a batch file to create an image (only useful for homebrew under 1 mb) later.

Edit: attached the header faker.

I am not responsible, if this does not do what you expect it to do, including broken isos and deleted hard drives. period.

Opinion needed on this:

What do you guys think about the white buttons against the black case? Its up to emu in the end of course. This one is his. I know the photo is sideways.. Sorry cant do much about it from my iPhone.

I love it but I still say that slot B should just be an EXI port instead of an internal Gecko...

Awesome, Thx for the feedback guys! Fixed the picture rotation now that I'm finally home. I also like the contrast of the face buttons, I have painted L/R and the double Z buttons black though because it was a bit much having them white also. Paint and clear coat still needs to set a few days before I can do any real work to it still.

This will be considered for the next revision of the portable on both slots A/B. At this point its to late for me to change these ones without having to mess with the cases. The reason I designed everything internal this go was to make the case more streamlined and not have anything bulky sticking out besides the 2 SD cards. This was just my personal preference.

Prefer the white one, gloss black plastic always looks cheap imo, I prefer matt.
How about some metalic colours with gold buttons.

just joined the forums...

got my ffc adapter and wiikey fusion these days and soldered it to my gc today.
unfortunately that brown hinge on the ffc adapter got loose.
did not managed to boot the wiikey fusion yet :/

Welcome to the forums! Nice soldering job there. What FFC connector is that? Is the hinge broken? Not salvageable at all? :/

might need your skills in the future

since the hinge only locks the cable in there it shouldnt be too hard to fix, e.g. ghettostyle with tape

sometimes I've found that when the hinge snaps off completely, it's still good you just have to: Put the flex cable in with no hinge, then carefully wedge the hinge in and hot glue it shut (it's usually a tight fit but the glue makes sure a knock won't put it out of place).
