After winning a round the controller will stop functioning, this is incredibly strange as even the combination to enter the WiiSX menu will not work, after I lose the match though the controller returns to normal and I am able to access the WiiSX menu again

I should probably mention I am using a wired gamecube controller.

Figured out a long time ago that using HLE fixes the problem, some games will only work with HLE like Raystorm. Unrelated but I also discovered disabling FPS limiter and enabling frameskip makes 3D games run faster and smoother. Fatal Fury Wild Ambition, Rival Schools and Street Fighter EX run almost perfectly like this although FMVs run faster than usual.
