Gamecube Disc Lid Easteregg

I have not seen it mentioned anywhere on the net, so I figured I'd mention it here. Everyone and their cousin know about the Gamecube menu being a slowed down version of the Famicom Disk System Boot Jingle, but I found something interesting while playing around with disc drive lid. The logo is removable by pressing the clips inside the lid (nothing special there), and underneath it I noticed that it was keyed, and so was the Logo... Now where have I seen this before.....

Thats right... the FDS Disks were keyed in the same fashion!

The pattern is a little different, but I believe it pays homage to the FDS Disks.

I thought it was worth mentioning, has anyone noticed it before?

And why does the other side have so much care taken in its make up.

Image upside down to match jewel logo indentations.

Reading right to left (ie the correct way when viewing) of above image in morse coding.

dot dot dash dot - break = F

dash dot dot - break = D

Unfortuatly the last characrer does not quite work out should be

dot dot dot = S

Thx for adding the lid pic, it was late at night and I didn't have my camera on hand. That's pretty awesome, I didn't even think to look for Morse code!
