All ISOs freeze when I try to run from Swiss 0.3. Help plz

Would really appreciate the help! I have a European GC and have purchased the SD Media Launcher from Datel. It works fine and I was able to run few homebrew applications without problems. But when I try to run a game's ISO from Swiss 0.03 it just freezes after loading the game in Swiss from the SD card, sometimes black screen and sometimes green screen. Please help! I tried so many different ISOs and GCM files with the same problem. I'm using a normal 2GB SD. Any ideas? thanks a lot

Are you using Swiss 0.3 from the googlecode page or from the nightly builds page (
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1375)?
I would suggest using the latest one from the nightly builds and also use a different disc in the drive when starting the games (don't have SDML in the drive). Do you get a fragmented message? If so, the latest builds should have this fixed for you.
I assume you are shrinking the ISO files? try to have them clean and full size.

Thanks a lot for the answer, I tried downloading the version you posted and I think I'm getting somewhere. Now instead of freezing the gamecube tries to read the dvd inserted then it informs me that the disc isn't correct. I've tried to run the game's iso with DVD compatibility and without it, also with keeping the dvd drive motor running and without it, didnt work still unfortunately. Should I put the ISO in a specific folder or something? Thanks a lot!

specific folder won't make a difference. Can you try another SD card?

Oh I see, got an idea.. can you please send me a link to download an iso that you're sure works fine on swiss? Any game would do. I will test with it to make sure all factors are well contained

)
Thanks a lot!

No ISO links are permitted here. Only make backups of original discs that you own. Do not ask for downloads/etc or you will be banned.
Try a game listed as working on the compatibility list on the Wiki. I assume something is wrong with either your SD card or the ISOs that you are using. Get a original disc that is listed as working on the compatibility list and then rip it using CleanRip. All of which can be found on the forums/wiki here.

If your using the Datel provided SD card reader I suspect thats the problem.
It craps out before finishing loading time and time again - should be mentioned by default every time SDML is talked about.

you have any proof or research or video to make a thread for future reference??
everyone should stay sway from these these "softmods" and the more awareness that can be created about how ineffective or unpractical they are, the better...

I tried with different SD Cards, I'm getting the message "failed to find necessary files for patching" before the game runs, afterwards the game wouldn't run either because "it's the wrong disc" (in case I keep the dvd motor running) or "general error" (in case I stop the dvd motor).
Hope someone can help :s

when you start swiss navigate to the icons at the bottom
find the icon " i " for information
then go to page 3 in information, you will see

Just that a couple of people here on this forum have had problems which went away when they used another reader along with the same range of SD cards - myself included.

The softmods are a great way to boot code, just don't use the SD Media Launcher adapter as it's horrible.
