*Sorry if something like this has appeared here before, I couldn't find anything searching though.*

As I'm eagerly awaiting my XenoGC to arrive (probably tomorrow! ) I decided to make my controllers better, since I really always hated those "C Sticks". So I opened two GC and one WiiClassic controller and did some analog stick swapping. Of course, I'm about to give them a good cleaning but I am now REALLY excited.

This is my first real hardware mod on a console, so any thoughts on this and maybe how I can make it better? Thanks!

Interesting, I guess it'd be great for games that make use of the C-stick as a free style camera like 007 Nightfire.

I like the original C stick but this looks nice too.

Hi, I know this is an old post but I´m just looking for some info about if I can use some generic controller sticks in my gc controller in order to repair them? I want to buy a generic classic controller and change both sticks of my gc controller (analog and C). Can these work? Are they different from the official one?

Hola, se que este es un post viejo, pero ando buscando información acerca de ¿Si es posible utilizar los sticks de un control generico en un control de gc? Yo quiero comprarme un control clásico genérico y cambiar ambos sticks de un control de gamecube (análogo y C). ¿Funcionaria? ¿O son diferentes entre ellos?

Third party joysticks are junk. They break very easily, and don't have matching joystick caps for the official ones. I wasted my money imb several third party ones but the sticks don't make it through a few sessions of mario sunshine.

The madcatz ones are OK though but the sticks most likely won't fit the original. I believe the official wii classic controller sticks will work though.

I also saw someone use Xbox 360 sticks on his wavebird.
