Is it possible to get a gecko code for twilight princess usa gamecube to make all insects and imp poes visible, please? I haven't been able to find one. Thank you
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GCN/WIIRD/NTSC-U)
I don't have that code and I don't know how it would work.
Insects always appear. My only problem was finding the one inside the Temple of Time and in a house because they didn't "respect" the logic of being on the map like everyone else.
Poes need certain events to be completed in order to appear. Maybe a code would break the game's progress.
One thing I discovered last year is that that desert challenge needs to be completed at night. Which doesn't make any sense to me.
You may need to revisit it with the above code active. Or check the map again before entering the last dungeon.

Hi, I'm relatively new to AR/Gecko codes and have been enjoying TP on dolphin for a while now. One thing that has bothered me is that Bloom does not scale properly at 2x IR (and higher), leaving a ghosting effect with the Bloom. The first thing that I found was the 4x IR Bloom Fix on the TP dolphin wiki, which worked ok, but was very distracting at times because of how blurry the adjusted Bloom became specifically at 2x IR. What I have made below is my edit of the Bloom Fix created using educated guesswork by contrasting the 4x and 8x fix and "mathing" that down to be better adjusted to 2x IR.
While I am almost done with the game by this point, I hope this can be utilized by other people that are limited by hardware at 2x IR for a better experience that the alternatives.
On another note, one hack that I have tried to write but have failed and given up on is a working 21:9(2560x1080) widescreen code that does not stretch the HUD elements. It would be cool to see this as a 21:9 enthusiast.
Additionally, another pipe dream that I have failed to make is a code tht prevents link from voiding out after he has been over a pit/void zone for a certain amout of time/ indefinitely. This one seems much more unlikely but it would be awesome to see.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GCN/WIIRD/NTSC-U)
Hello,
This is going to be a long shot but I'll ask it anyway and I'll understand if you tell me this is too much to attempt with codes. I've scoured around for a while and I have had trouble finding any discussion at all about this, let alone codes for it.
For the longest time I've always been bothered by the Z button being dedicated to Midna when it was always available as an item button in OoT/MM GC and Wind Waker, and I always felt like dpad left and down were both wasted given that dpad right and up serve the same functions respectively (caveat being the direction the UI elements appear from and left/right technically giving different map elements on a cycle). I would think dpad left might be the best button to put Midna on since there's nothing to the left of the dpad UI element, whereas dpad down has the minimap (when it's open anyway).

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GCN/WIIRD/NTSC-U)
Greetings,
I would like the TP camera to mimic the WW free camera. I can see there are codes for the camera. How do you tell what they do? Is it all trial and error? Can anyone tell me which codes affect the "free" camera on the C-stick?
For context, in Wind Waker, the camera is totally free. You move the camera around Link with the C-stick and it stays at that angle while Link is running or sailing. In TP, the camera snaps back to go behind Link whenever you move him, so I have to fight that in order to look around as I am running and it's causing some serious motion sickness.
Thank you for your any help.
*Edit: Alright. I tried all of the codes related to camera that I could and none of them were able to prevent the camera from automatically snapping back behind Link. From what I could tell, some inverted the controls, one caused the camera to always stay behind link no matter what and one caused the camera to permanently stay in "battle" position. Is it possible to create a code that modifies the camera so that it is fully free?

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GCN/WIIRD/NTSC-U)
Does anyone have a code to speed up Link's climbing and swimming to the speed they are in the HD version?

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GCN/WIIRD/NTSC-U)
I did some eyeballing and editing of Ralf's code to make this (slower) fast climbing code. Please note that it is not perfectly proportional to TP HD, and that the animations are weirdly faster and slower in some ways.
If you want to tweek the values to your preferences:
- 0438EBD8 writes to the ladder climbing speed
- 0438EBEC writes to the Vine horizontal climbing speed
- 0438EBF4 writes to the Vine vertical climbing speed
Change the number(base 16) after these writes to edit their respective speeds.
I will look into working on a swimming speed QoL, I'll post it soon if I figure it out.
Code: Select all
QoL Climbing Speed
0438EBD8 3FE79E79
0438EBEC 3FE00000
0438EBF4 3FE79E79
- 0438EBD8 writes to the ladder climbing speed
- 0438EBEC writes to the Vine horizontal climbing speed
- 0438EBF4 writes to the Vine vertical climbing speed
Change the number(base 16) after these writes to edit their respective speeds.

Hi. From what I can tell, TP HD does not change the swim speed in any significant way. What it does do it allow you to instantly change your angle while swimming, while TP GC makes you do a slow curved turn.
What I can show is a code from Twilight Specter that increases swimming speed to be bearable for long distances. (This should also be on the built in list of AR codes on dolphin)
Code: Select all
Swim (stick forward) Fast
0438ED94 42087000
Swim (A) Fast
0438EE18 42087000
Now it may be possible to change some memory value to not have Link do the slow turn in water, but without access to dolphin's debug view (rip android users like myself) I am unable to locate this address. Anyone else who sees this and thinks they could help, thanks in advance.

Can you make a codes for always Dawn, Highnoon, Dusk and Night, and Day & Night Time Modifier similar to codes for the Wind Waker.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GCN/WIIRD/NTSC-U)
Hi Ralf,
Might you be able to make a code that disables the water surface reflections?
I think that would fix the last issue with running the game in dolphin's stereo 3D mode.

Love a lot of these codes for reworking TP. Anyone got a code for disabling the depth of field/depth blur that occurs during conversations and other scenes? Oh! And a slingshot damage increase code. Something to make it 4 shot goblins.
