I just bought a used copy of Mario party 7, and on the back it says you can play 8 players simultaneously! How is that possible? Is there some kind of GameCube multi-tap that I don't know about? I tried googling this, but all the results I get have to so with the Wii U's GameCube controller adapter for smash 4.

I wonder if it's not 2 players by controller, each one for each side of the pad.

Couldn't you do multiplayer stuff with the bba and a couple cubes? I thought I remembered double dash had some functionality like that.

8 Player-Mode should be able with 2 Cubes, 2 Broadbandadapters, 2 TV´s and 8 Controllers.
I don´t know any other method so far...

If my memory serves correctly, all of the 8 player mini-games required each player to share a controller, and as such were relatively simple, using the Analogue/C-Stick, L/R, or d-pad/face-buttons. You could do it all on 1 GC with 4 controllers.

Wikipedia is not good anymore???

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Party_7

"In 8 player minigames, one player uses the Control Stick and L, and the other player uses the C stick and R."

1. You need 4 controller, 2 players shares 1 controller.
2. There are some minigames that are available for 8 players, but you need to unlock them.
3. And the best of all, it's FUN!
