I read that someone was able to XenoGC hardmod the DOL-101 by using a little extra wire to reach the points?
Is this possible? I've been waiting 2 weeks for my chips to come over on the literal slow-boat from China,
and now I've got my little girl's Gamecube busted open. Ever single video guide I watched was of a different
model, so I'm just curious if I wasted time and money? Any help would be appreciated. My little girl was looking forward
to it, so I don't mind putting in a little extra work if someone can point me in any direction.

Just use wires to where the quick solder holes line up to on the empty CN302 connector pads. It might fit anyway on your DOL-101 since the drive types that it doesn't fit on aren't specific to a particular GameCube version - it's just one particular type of drive "fix" that looks like Nintendo implemented that makes the XenoGC not line up 100%.

Post a picture of the DVD drive board if you want.
