Hi Ralf,
Would you be able to convert/translate/port those PAL codes to NTSC-U (specifically the exp/magic exp up)? I am using the Dolphin emulator from Vimms Lair, along with the Skies of Arcadia Legends (NTSC-U) game (also from Vimms). I have been looking everywhere for "your" codes, but for NTSC, and I haven't been able to find them anywhere. I am by no means a hacker/programmer, but I was relatively proud of myself when I was able to deduce the region code offset (I'm pretty confident that it is "3680" (hex)). Anyways, from what I know, this hacker shit is not easy so I appreciate any time you put towards this. Let me know what information you need from me in order to help.

I don't have the US version of Skies of Arcadia Legends, so I'm not able to port my PAL codes to NTSC-U region.

if you had a NTSC-U ram dump would you be able to?

Hey Mage16, you seem to have a bit more knowledge when it comes to this kind of stuff. I have an idea, but I don't think I have the tools or the know-how to pull it off. So...the way I see it is our problem is that we don't have the memory address offset value between the PAL and the NTSC-U version...at least not for Ralf's codes. I have confirmed that the "region offset" value for most of Skies' codes between PAL and NTSC-U is "3680" HEX. However, this offset value doesn't seem to work with Ralf's codes at all; which means that the memory addressing in the NTSC-U version for Ralf's coding has a different offset value. (Correct me if I'm off basis here). Anyways, this means that we wouldn't be able to port his PAL codes over to NTSC without knowing the memory address for his codes. If we had a RAM dump of Skies' PAL version, wouldn't we be able to use a HEX editor of some sort to search for the memory addresses identified in Ralf's codes? This would give us a good idea of where the corresponding codes reside in the NTSC-U version, no? From there, once we have the memory address in the NTSC-U version, we can finally outfit Ralf's PAL codes with the memory addresses of the NTSC-U version and wah-lah....or am I failing to see something here?

I'd also like to add that I tried inputting Ralf's Experience Multiplier PAL code into my NTSC version of Skies, and some weird stuff happened. Just for reference, I used the following code that he posted in this thread (which by the way Mage16, is different than the Experience Multiplier code you posted in your other):

First of all, my top character (Vyse) during multiple tests did in fact receive the confirmed multiplier effect towards his experience(i.e. for all tests, whatever I set the multiplier to, Vyse's experience was multiplied by that amount). That was a good thing, but then the result on my second character (in this case, Aika) received a much higher multiplier effect...during my first test (with a multiplier of x4 or "04"), she received 16 times the experience, and another test (with a multiplier of x10, or "0A"), she received 98 times the experience........I suspect that if I had continued testing with three (3) characters in my party, that the third character would have received a higher multiplier...but I haven't confirmed that effect yet. ... Anyways, during all this, there was also a negative impact on my green moonstone ranking...like...it wasn't leveling up in the after battle exp/gold screen, and the value in the Main Menu for my green moonstone wouldn't increase at all. In conclusion, his experience multiplier PAL coding at least have a portion that correspond to the NTSC version, I just don't know what to modify in order to stabilize the effect. I have tried his other codes (magic exp and health and such), and they don't seem to have any effect.

These codes have helped me for many years but in my current playthrough, I wanted to reduce the magic exp grind some more. Does anyone know how I can properly convert the magic exp multiplier cheat into the AR MAX format? I've tried Omniconvert but the topmost line it outputs always changes. The succeeding lines remain the same. I'm playing on the original console with the old AR MAX module.

You should use the GCNcrypt v1.5 tool to encrypt the raw Magic Experience Multiplier code to AR format. The tool can be found in the "AR codes - quick reference" thread, btw.

The topmost line of the code still changes though when hitting encryp multiple times, why is that? The one I pasted there is recognized nevertheless. Instead of the +12 mag exp I got with using the previous "ultra magic exp" code, I got +64 on the screen now.
