Accidentally lost a regulator

So I was poking around inside my cube earlier, and upon reassembling it, I noticed that one of the tiny regulators had fallen off the motherboard from somewhere. After looking for where it was missing from, if you look at the below picture for reference, it's the one labelled "DA15".

Whilst it appears this is connected to the never used serial port, I'm a little concerned that I've broken my cube.

When looking through various motherboard cuts, I have noticed that some of them completely remove that serial port, although the regulator remains intact. Is anyone able to confirm that this won't affect normal gameplay in any way as this serial port is never utilized?

Thanks in advance.

Out of interest, am I right about it being related to the unused serial port? The reason I ask is because I have a broadband adapter, that I'd like to still be able to use.
