I have a game cube that will not power on, no lights or fans or anything.

its not the power im currently using the same ac on my working one.


IM in the process of breaking it down right now to get experience


could replacing the powerswitch board fix my problem

something had been spilt inside before there was sticky residue in the plastic case

If the fan doesn't spin the first thing to check is the power switch board. Second step is the power regulator board if it's a DOL-001.

thanks for the reply. I did a little experimenting my self .

the one that works is the one with out the digital port

the broken one is the 001 and i don't know the difference in the power switch board and the regulator board.

what i did is i took the whole fan piece with the switch on it out of my working 101 (i believe) i plugged it in to the non working one. and the fan spun but still no light. I then plugged the controller board into the working game cube and it worked.

i didnt want to take the chance and plug the broken fan piece into the working gamecube

so i assume not only is the switch board dead but theres something else wrong to. and if its the fuse it might just be easier to buy another.
