Ok if I cut a controller board (a,b,z,x,y side) that whole side off and drill a hole in each trace solder a wire to that drilled hole in the trace back to the other end of the controller( the end I just cut)to another drilled hole in the same trace would that work? ?

Don't drill a hole, just scrape the solder mask off.
