When I boot action replay with the original AR memcard inserted it does everything correctly until I update the memory card, when I go to the memory card manager it says it is corrupt and has to be formatted.
the card works fine with games and stuff, but it keeps breaking with AR.

Which slot? it's for slot B only irc.

I'm having it in slot b, but when I update it with AR (1.14b) it corrupts.

I'd use a earlier version if I was you one where you can update the codelist v1.06 or 1.08.

AR 1.14b is still able to do this, and I know this because the device works with my other memcards.
I heard that even the 1.18 version is still able to this but this hasn't been confirmed, and I don't think it can because I first had one of those revamped versions wich is 1.15 I think.

there is a v1.15 and v1.18?
AFAIK v1.14b was the last version released.

Nope I have the new action replay too (the version without the memory card), and it's 1.20.
I'm not sure if codejunkies.com also shows version number, but you could always check

btw... this is off-topic, I really need some help with this, because a new AR (MAX) is to expensive for me.

There was something on maxconsole before that'll allow you to update the codelist via .GCI saves.

Irc there's a tool like Miral's MAX Codelist Manager that can get / combine the latest codelist's off Datel's Eu and US servers, if not maybe we can contact him to make such a program.

SDML v2 contains the last latest codelists they made.

yeah that'll be cool, but it's normal that it corrupts with AR? Because if I remember correctly, it also didn't show up any cheats, and AR formats it correctly when reinserted.

Irc there's two options in the options you need turn one of them off, i'll take a look today.

Ok I guess that has to do with the mc?
Btw. any other 3rd party mc's and Nintendo mc's work fine with my AR.
Btw. If nothing works I'm going to buy a new mc with the same layout (MEGA memory if I remember correctly), and swap the internals, but that mc is f-ing €25,-(!!!!)

Well there really isn't a need since you can use literally any memory card for this. Why bother buying a new one when you can still use the same memory card that you use for the AR to save games and such too? I mean if you want a bigger card then I can see that but I'd say no need.

I found a card with the same design, so I can swap the internals I want it to look as originaly as possible :p

I will try it with a AR DOL soon, so I can see if it is my AR version or just the card.
