Hey folks

I just read about Mario Kart Arcade GP and it seems like a really cool game. Since the triforce hardware is similiar to the GCN - is it possible to play this game on a GCN? Has anyone playd this game?

the real question is: has anyone a dumped game^^
I searching for this game on ebay and cant find one.
im searching the net for a dumped "ISO" and cant find anything.

i would love to try this game on dolphin or on my GC but dont think the GC can play the because triforce games are crypted as far as i know

Game is dumped + decrypted - look hard enough and you shall find it!

I have tried to get these working on Gamecube with some patches, we got pretty far.. so hopefully it's doable one day when I get time :)

Wow... I have never seen on of those arcade units anywhere..... I have to say... If this ever got to be working on the GC/Wii I would be inclined to build my own dual arcade cabinet.

I don't quite understand. You mean playing Triforce games on the Gamecube? For real?

To sum up:
tmbinc dumped/decrypted the Triforce games and documented the hardware (amongst other things).

Dolphin can play the decrypted dumps ;)

I tried (with the help of someone else) to get these decrypted dumps working on Gamecube by patching enough of the game to think it's got the hardware that it wants. It'd be a lot of work but it might be possible :)

Awesome! :D .
Cant wait to see what progress you'll make with it.

Too bad no one is trying to do the same thing with Naomi to Dreamcast (one can only dream)

Otherwise good luck man!

Oh god.... I need to find those dumps. Was mario kart gp 2 also triforce based? Sadly emu, I dont think I could ship you an arcade cabinet for getting this one working ;P

Doesn't nullDC emulate the naomi?

No not that way.
I mean running arcade versions on Dreamcast system itself by using
crazy game patches.

You get me now?
Should have been more specific about it.

Now i have the game :)
cant wait to get home and try my dolphin.
hope it would at least boot to the title screen.

Is it normal that the rom is only a .bin file?
i thought it should be a .gdt file?

look for the presentation that TMBINC did at the last CCCongres... he has a presentation where he cracks the key in minutes... (he's cheating a bit.. but it's very interesting). it's the presentation about FPGA number crunching...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5-T7Hv78kc

that should help...
