Did I just killed my cube?

Hi all,
I was experimenting a little bit with my cube, so I had it disassembled completely. When I was testing something with a qoob+xenogc switch, I still had my motherboard lying on my carpet. (Yes, that is stupid) Then, in a rush, I booted the cube (Yes, that is very stupid), and I noticed some small 'sparkly' sound. (Of course, the carpet/static environment probably did no good to the board)

Now, there is no video output anymore, and the power-light won't even turn on. As this is the first mainboard I've probably killed, I'm wondering if the board could still be saved, or not? (I probably go for no, but still, I wanted to be sure hehe)

Thanks. :)

is it a DOL-001? If so, sounds like you blew the fuse on the smaller board.

It's a DOL-101 I'm afraid. :(

still has a fuse near the top left of the board (when the memory card ports are facing you).

Great, I found it. And when checking with my multimeter I found out it's blown indeed. :P
I'll try to pick up a replacement fuse at my local store when I get back from work. :)

fuses blow for a reason, make sure whatever you did before is fixed too.

The board lying on carpet was the reason. :P

Anyway, just soldered a new fuse on the board, and it's working again! :D
Thanks for the help.

And here people always ask me why I never leave my electronics on carpet.
