I have a Japanese cube which I want to change to USA. I have found this tutorial: http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/ninte ... region.htm, but instead of using a switch I want to make it permanent. Is it safe to directly connect the points at R6 or do I need to add a resistor? In the tutorial he is not using a resistor, but they must be there for a reason, right?

Should be safe to just directly connect those points to make it a USA console. Just make sure your connection is secure.
