i need advice from you guys. which solution is the best? what are the pro and con arguments? i have soldering experience. i modded already ps2, xbox, wii, 360 (jtag), gamecube,...

was anyone able to integrate the wode display in a nice-looking way? i like that display
i don't need USB... my whole collection fits on a 32gb sdhc card
and what about my gamecube version, DOL-001 (EUR)? will i face compatibility issues wiikey fusion or wode?
a real disadvantage for me is the ugly wiikeyfusion launcher (dashboard). i understood from emu_kidid that he will update swiss to include wiikey fusion support.... but how will i be able to boot swiss on wiikeyfusion modded gamecube?

sakamoto, you won't be able to directly boot it, you will need to select it at least once from the wiikey loader (maybe have it as your top entry so it's quicker to find).
I still need to investigate the wiikey fusion and reverse the API.

i think i will go for the wiikey fusion. 2 questions:
1) is it correct that the wode is not able to play audio streaming games?
2) the wiikey fusion requires a reset switch, does the wode requires this too?

1. Both the Wiikey and the WODE will play audiostreaming games fine. Just no streaming audio during gameplay.
2. Both chips require the simulated "eject" switch. The wiikey needs this to load the Linux loader at GC boot only and the WODE needs it for "ejecting" iso's to switch discs on multidisc games.

Ashen: thanks. is it possible to use the default gamecube reset switch for this... to avoid installing an additional switch?

Nope, its not really a reset switch. It needs to be a normally closed momentary switch. It simulates the eject button on the Wii.

you could connect it to the dvd eject switch, but that requires you to close your gamecube, and idk if that's possible with a (usb)HDD inside the cube.
