Bi-Yearly support

Since we have had some quite successful support given in the past with site donations to keep this place alive, I would like to once again ask those of you who can, to lend a dollar or two to keep this site ad-free and hosted for a long time to come. I only ask as I am seeing hard(er) financial times ahead for myself personally as I have made some commitments in real life which will see some of my luxuries go. The past 18 months have been paid 100% out of my pocket but it would be nice to have a little bit of a break from it as it does eventually burn a hole in my pocket.

Donations can be made by the little paypal widget that sits on the left part of the main portal page.

Again, thank you all for your support, every little bit counts :)

Update: All who donate go into a raffle to win either a component cable or a Qoob PRO :)

i spoke to emu about adding a twist for site donations...he has agreed to the following:

A raffle will be held and winners will receive the following prizes:
1st prize = Official Gamecube Component Cable << donated by Megalomaniac
2nd prize = Qoob Pro << donated by emu
3rd prize = homemade WKF/WODE adapter << donated by Ashen
4th prize = homemade WKF/WODE adapter << donated by Ashen

Code: Select all

Rules:
1.. every 10$ donation receives one chance to win...donate 20$ = 2 chances, 30$ = 3 chances...etc etc

2.. Limit one prize per person

3.. Donations received until Jan 31,2012 will be entered into the raffle.

4.. Drawing to be held Feb 4, 2012 (names in a hat)

5.. no purchase necessary (HEHEHE, always wanted to say that)

additional rules:
.. Early donors = those who have donated prior to time this post
.. Early donors are automatically grandfathered into the raffle...
.. Early donors who contributed less than 10$ automatically receive 1 chance to win
.. If anyone who donates wishes to remain anonymous, your privacy will be kept...However please consider in all fairness: anonymous winners at any online forum for some reason always seem to appear suspicious/ setup / falsified...Everyone else will be listed in ongoing log in first post of this thread for open accountability to all..

Good Luck to all

Okay, I threw in $5, but that was before I saw this and after it was posted. If I throw in another $5, will I have one entry?

Was planning on a donation prior to the raffle. Just threw in my donation but I'll opt out of the draw. I've got more than enough toys already, let someone else have a crack at it.

I'm rarely active here (or anywhere) lately, but there ya go, $50 from me
I'd like the site to stay

EDIT: Don't count me in for the qoob draw, I already have a qoobed cube, and i don't see myself installing another one (I already have a couple of xenos waiting to be installed). I prefer someone else who will use it to have it. The component cable, on the other hand, is more interesting, and, although I don't actually have any component video enabled TV/monitor/capture, it could be nice to mod into VGA or something.

So, with my two $5 donations, I should have one entry, cool!

Is gc-forever going to be up straight until the end of the world now?...12/21/2012 :-)
