FIFA 2005 Save Exploit

The North American version of this game is called
FIFA Soccer 2005, and the European versions of this game are called
FIFA Football 2005, so I'm titling this post
FIFA 2005 for simplicity.
This one was a lot simpler due to not having to run assembly from the stack, but I still had to dig through the game's code to find a suitable
blrl that could be used to get this to work.
The repo can be found
here, and the gci files can be found
here.

How many seconds and button presses does it take to enter Swiss after running the game?

For the US version all you have to do is press A once to select a language at boot, so it's like 10 seconds or so for the exploit to trigger.

You usually can't play a game with its save exploit file.
To play such game, you either need another memcard, or another version of this same game that produces save files that have a different ID.

I wonder why the FIFA accepted such naming, knowing that no letter stands for soccer in F.I.F.A. that's a huge nonsense.

It's a naming pattern EA used back then. To make it similar to "John Madden Football".
I always considered it redundant. But there are thousands of cases... It's just another one.
It never made sense to me to put, for example, "DC's Batman". There is no other "Batman".
