Optical drive dead :<

It was all fun and games, till I managed to screw my drive motor while toying with a homenade xenogc.
The laser and its driver seem to be ok for now, as its movements and sounds are familiar.
But the motor refuses to spin.
Tried removing, swapping the drivechip with one that worked for sure, replugging all cables, etc but in vain.
Any ideas?
