February 5	Freeloader 1.4 by Datel/codejunkies released. Within days after release, Freeloader 1.4 found to be non-compatible with many GC titles.
February 8	Freeloader 1.6b by Datel/codejunkies released
February 18	Action Replay by Datel/codejunkies released
June 17	PSUL 1.0 - GAMECUBE CODE UPLOADER released by CrazyNation
October 10	Animal Crossing Loader 1.0 released First game backup loading on the console (from BBA)
October 13	PSOLoad v1.1 by Costis
October 29	tmbinc first IPL replacement info released and IPL replacement.dol (injected a small bit of replacement PPC code then used a AR memory card as the next level loader)
