Re: What transistor is this?
I did a bit of research and found that the package type is a 5 lead SOT-323 or SC70. Maybe the N and P have something to do with N-Channel and P-Channel transistors?

What transistor is this?
There is a burnt 5-pin transistor labeled "N1" (DA2 picture 1) on a Gamcube board I have. Also, while I was taking off the heatsink I managed to knock off a similar transistor but it is labeled "P1" (DA15 picture 2). I attached pictures in my google drive folder. What type of tra...

Re: Adding tilt control to the GC
This is a good idea Roses, but if you do attempt the mod, be sure to keep the original stick intact, otherwise it'd be a pain to navigate menus. Another thing to keep in mind: you would always have to have the controller facing a certain way when you start the cube or when you plug it in. This is be...

Re: Curious Text Issue
Thanks for the replies, I looked over the motherboard and didn't see anything unusual with the RTC and didn't see signs of a failed region mod. Also, I'm using a NTSC console, so I can't simply change the language settings from the menu like you can with a PAL console. Is there an alternate way of t...

Curious Text Issue
I purchased a Gamecube on ebay last year because I needed an indigo DOL-001. Anyway, I didn't read the sellers description very well and it turned out to have an issue displaying text. I'm positive it is a software related issue because it plays games like a charm and reads every in-game text normal...

Re: Mini Guide - How to install megalomaniac's MEGAudio boar
Thanks for posting this, it really helped me out during installation. I tested the audio before I put the epoxy on, but I couldn't hear a big difference from analog on the Wind Waker Title screen. Can't wait to actually test during gameplay on different games, I'm sure it will sound great!

Re: Gamecube component cable
I saw someone mention earlier in the thread that they were interested in getting a digital coax output from their cube. I attached a file for a schematic I found that outputs digital coax using the TC9231N chip. It looks like it only requires 2 capacitors, 2 resistors, and a RCA input. I'm not compl...

Re: Gamecube component cable
updated first post to avoid confusion about the OLD preorder lists... only one person wanted an audio board during the preorder phase...so only one person is on that list based on that list i had only soldered 2 audio boards since there appeared to be no interest... thanks for posting your interest...

Re: Gamecube component cable
I have just read through the entire thread and it absolutely is incredible what you have done here Megalomaniac and others who helped. After seeing how much work, money, and time you have put into this project even though there isn't much profit involved, I really appreciate everybody that made this...
