Re: "No Disc" - pot or xenogc at fault?
First, it was already at 180 ohms. so I put the pot down to [roughly] 70, it didn't work. then I tried 55, and then about 30. all of them didn't work. I tried to clean the lens with a qtip and water, because I couldn't find any rubbing alcohol, and I dried it of course with the other end. it reads ...

Re: "No Disc" - pot or xenogc at fault?
Try ImgBurn and look the log for supported writing speeds too. I use those mini-DVDs and they only started to work when i downgraded my DVD burner firmware to the first version.
ImgBurn shows the options for burning at 2x but when i started to burn the disc it changed the speed to 4x.

Re: Power Supply For Portable Gamecube
Could not find something at the moment. Only power switchs, fans and sometimes controller ports. Any risk in using a power converter?megalomaniac wrote:sounds like you might only need a new power board...should be able to find one ~5$ maybe??

Re: Power Supply For Portable Gamecube
you measured the testpoints on the power regulator to make sure you were not getting 3v, 5v, 1.9v? if you are not even getting 12v to the mainboard, then you might have only blown a fuse....that can be repaired... Yeah. Replaced the fuse but nothing changed. When i turned on the console the only th...

Re: Power Supply For Portable Gamecube
Nice thread. I have a gamecube that died during a pot tweak (removed the optical drive while the cube was on). The multimeter showed that the power regulator was only sending 12v. What you guys think about these converters for testing the motherboard? http://www.ebay.com/itm/50W-DC-DC-Converter-Regu...

Re: would these dvd-rs work?
Yes. I bought 1 pack one month ago and all the games worked fine.
But you must burn at 2x. I lost 3 discs before realise that the firmware of my cd burner disabled this option (only burned at 4x). Downgraded to the first firmware and no more problems.

Re: Swiss 0.3
I would like to report a problem with the game The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition.
The game patches and runs fine with swiss 0.3 r174. But in later versions a crash occurs after the new patching method (shows a black screen with lots of information).
Tested with r204 and r214.

Re: Power plug alternative
The picture was just a example. I use the normal color cables (yellow and black). I really tried to find a gamecube AC adapter. Even a broken one. But in my country (Brazil) they are rare and expensive (40$ when a PC PSU its just 10/15$). Amazon doesn't ship those kind of products to my country and ...

Power plug alternative
I'm using a old PC PSU to power my Gamecube. I removed the plastic connector which sends the 12v+ and got something like this: http://www.moddiy.com/product_images/v/392/IMG_8189__94423_zoom.JPG It worked well in the beginning. But, with the time, the metal connector started to loosen and now the co...
