Questions about building a Shuriken V3 GCVideo board
I know there are probably not too many people asking questions about building boards these days, since there are so many options already available to just buy, but since I had a few XC3S200A FPGAs around, I wanted to give it a go at making my own internal one for my Panasonic Q. I seemed to be able ...

Re: Some help needed trying to get a working Shuriken Attack
You can flash Swiss directly to my modchip if you use different board. With Pico we are currently limited to ~512kB payloads. This is due to an issue that I couldn't resolve but quite possible it'd be fixed in the future then PicoBoot will be provided with Swiss instead of iplboot. I was looking ov...

Re: Some help needed trying to get a working Shuriken Attack
Why bother when we have https://twitter.com/webhdx/status/1538122564299538434 ? I'm not usually a fan of "why bother?" responses, but it makes perfect sense in this scenario  I even occasionally check webhdx's twitter, but hadn't seen anything about this development. Need to buy ...

Some help needed trying to get a working Shuriken Attack
I had a Gamecube that was missing the optical drive, so for a fun project I thought I'd try and make my own Shuriken Attack with the goal of eventually booting to Swiss. I'm sure those in the know are aware if it. but here's the link anyway: http://www.retro-system.com/shuriken_attack.htm https://i....

Can I use an XC3S200A as a drop-in replacement on a Shuriken Video?
I wanted to build my own GCVideo board based on the Shuriken v3 (bit late to the party given the number of alternatives out there, but I wanted to make a drop in replacement for the Digital AV board on the Panasonic Q), and as it would be an internal device, I'd like to have the pad wired up to cont...

Qoob SX works fine with the Q, this is one I had back in 2014: https://imgur.com/a/Dj9LRFv

Picked up a cheap USB 2.0 external hard drive which works fine, although still no luck with the SD reader.

Re: Couple of questions about WODE Jukebox Gamecube install
Yep, I upgraded it to 2.8A, but it didn't make any difference as to what it would recognise. I've tried a bunch of different options, but the only thing that has shown up at all is the 2GB USB 2.0 flash drive I mentioned before.

Re: Couple of questions about WODE Jukebox Gamecube install
I tried a couple of things, but one of them was formatting them in FAT32. Maybe the cluster size was an issue, although I'm sort of clutching at straws.

Re: Couple of questions about WODE Jukebox Gamecube install
I got a Wii in order to get it out of flat mode, so that's that issue out of the way for now, although I would like to find a proper long-term solution. Are there known compatibility issues with the WODE? I did manage to get a 2GB USB 2.0 drive to work, but neither of my two 3.0 drives (both the sam...

Re: Couple of questions about WODE Jukebox Gamecube install
I think I tried using uppercase and lowercase file names. I have just tested the one ISO and considered using another one, but I can't check it until I manage to get the thing out of flat mode. Would the WODE not display connected drives even if there was nothing on them though?

Re: Qoob Pro/SX - Panasoniq Q - No drive information
Was the Q reading GC discs fine before the Qoob install? I've installed a Qoob SX in a Panasonic Q and it worked fine, so perhaps it's an issue with the drive even if it can still read video DVDs.

Re: Couple of questions about WODE Jukebox Gamecube install
OK, so I did a bit more reading and wired up an eject button for the Wii DVD drive which works fine for ejecting DVDs, but it still won't let me exit flat mode when I press eject and the WODE joystick at the same time. I updated the WODE firmware in the hope that it might reset the settings, but no ...

Couple of questions about WODE Jukebox Gamecube install
I have a WODE and a couple of questions regarding using it with my Gamecube... I installed it and can boot the WODE menu and run discs with a Wii DVD drive, but haven't managed to boot an iso. I have a folder named "iso" in the root of the USB drive and have placed one iso (tried both .iso...

Re: Best mods for a Panasonic Q?
Basically the drive tray and bracket are broken - the Q's drive seems to be made of the most brittle plastic ever. It'll just be used as a glorified Gamecube - I don't see the point in using an average region locked 13 year old DVD player. It's true, the Q's disc tray almost always break. So, a bud...

Re: Need a little advice on sound with Shuriken Video...
My knockoff Xilinx Programmer arrived, but I just wanted to check on something before I start trying to flash anything. I just wanted to check if I should be connecting via SPI instead of JTAG, as everything on the Shuriken Video webpage points to that, but I have seen picks of people flashing via J...

Re: Need a little advice on sound with Shuriken Video...
When looking at the pics of the ad, it seems he was able to install the Shuriken video internally. I wonder how he did that. I guess in your case you just removed the digital video port? Is there not enough room to squeeze it between the DVD drive and metal shielding? Of course he could have just r...

Re: Need a little advice on sound with Shuriken Video...
I thought as much, I just thought it was odd that it didn't output audio given that I bought it two months after the option was available, but I guess that's what I get for buying from China. I've ordered an spi programmer to try and update it to the latest available code. I wasn't expecting to be a...

Need a little advice on sound with Shuriken Video...
I bought this Shuriken video board from Taobao: http://world.taobao.com/item/521098936293.htm?fromSite=main and have managed to get video running fine with it, but no sound. The board appears to be based on v2, so I thought it would include audio over HDMI :? . I was wondering if there was anything ...

Best mods for a Panasonic Q?
I have a Panasonic Q with a broken DVD tray (pretty standard) and I was wondering what would currently be the best possible modifications for it. I have installed a Qoob SX in one in the past, but was thinking about going all out with every possible mod this time round. What would you recommend out ...

I want to make duplicates of Panasonic Q parts...
I thought I'd post this here as it's a fairly specialised topic which I thought might be of interest to people on this forum. I have a Panasonic Q which has a broken DVD drive tray, which is apparently a fairly common issue (and displays rather poor build quality from Panasonic). I was going to just...
