Re: Plug and play drive replacement adapter Idea
what if you made a spring clip on ? it slides over the dvd female connector on the board and spring legs connect to the legs on the dvd connector on the board. this would mean you could have a plugin well plug on adapter and could also convert the 5v in to 3.3/1.9 making it almost 100% solderless. t...

Re: question about s-video
i think (interms of quality) it goes.. RF - Composit - svideo - scart - True rgb scart - component - hdmi in my oppinion Rf is really pretty bad, then composit and S-video honestly i cant really see much of a diference s-vid and composit max out at 480i, scart however has a max res of 576i and then ...

Re: good news and bad news....
no clue about wode or this audio fix.. but it does sound a bit like the wring wires or bad ground. Crackly and low sound usually means a bad ground or Really fat wires on audio systems for the most part, "stereo's amplifiers and so on" Either that or some residual static remains in a varia...

in that case is there a "best shrinking application" I think the one im using works pretty well to be honest. pretty sure all it does is remove all the dummy space. games like rampage become a few 100mb. but eternal darkness / resident evil stay almost the same size. dont really know what ...

Re: How to "easily" wire to an FFC (Wiikey/WODE)
just thought id mention when i did this to a 32 pin ffc. i found it was easier not to split the ffc up witha knife 1st.. Cut it n expose the contacts and so on.. tape the ffc down to a workable surface. put the tape just above the area you exposed your contacts. (I taped cardboard down to a table. t...

Re: Wiikey - GC pcb
I think that pcb is connecting 5v directly to ground..
I may not be reading it properly but it looks like 5v is going to ground
(1st ground pin to the right. next to where you connect 22/23)
thats if im understanding the pcb.

Wiikey - GC pcb
hello, i was throwing together a basic "really basic" pcb design for a gamecube to ffc adapter that sits under the board and basically dose everything.. i posted it on one of my forums so people could tidy up the design, and it was pointed out a similar board already exists.. I noticed the...
