Re: Compiling Hu-Go! GX to SD2SP2 use

Alright, this one works with .pce files: https://github.com/emukidid/hugo-gx/rel ... ogx-210506

CD-ROM support seems dead, I'm not sure if it ever worked tbh.

np, I'll actually try it with games to see what's up. It's likely in my refactoring of warnings I broke something

Re: Help with modding!

You can run homebrew, imports and backups so long as you can boot Swiss pretty much. So the next question you'd have is how can I boot Swiss? Here's an overview of most methods to do so: https://www.gc-forever.com/wiki/index.php?title=Booting_Homebrew If you have any of the exploitable games found o...

Re: Cheapest way to get homebrew onto a GameCube?

I have a copy of Pokemon Colosseum and XD. I also have a softmodded Wii. I don't mind soldering. What is the absolute cheapest way to get homebrew up and running so I can do things like play backup games and run the GB Player without the startup disc? Would it be a XenoGC + an SDSP2 + an SDGecko? O...

I fixed my issue. I'm not sure what's wrong with Swiss r1085, but I can't get cheats working. I switched back to r1060 and cheats are working fine.
Someone has already raised a similar issue, we'll look into it. https://github.com/emukidid/swiss-gc/issues/521

Here you go, don't expect anything else improved other than SD2SP2 support (which I haven't tested myself).

English please, post more detail, did you place a boot image or just the exploit on the memory card?

I've attached it, it needs to be compiled. It's just from here, which was linked on http://www.gc-linux.org/wiki/SDload#Pre ... om_Windows (but now via archive.org).

Re: Qoob Pro and Swiss

Not at this stage, no. You can put a newer version of swiss at the root of a SD card as boot.dol assuming you have a SD Gecko (r450 is too old for SD2SP2 support).

Re: getting autoboot nowdays wkf

I tried 128gb and 256gb scandisk microsd with adapter, seems in booth that only recognizes fine the first 64gb, the games besides 64gb in swiss doesn't show with logo and when I tried to charge gives error message. I have an wiikey fusion in the gamecube, both cards works fine in other gamecube wit...

Re: Swiss on Wii Modchips?

You mention D2CKey and the like, those "simpler" mods only inject code into the DVD drive controller via a backdoor to allow backup discs to be read, they're essentially smarter versions of the XenoGC so won't really fit what you're asking for here.

Re: Swiss on Wii Modchips?

Then in that case, sure. As long as it makes the GameCube protocol happy enough it should work. I know FlatMii and sundriver came close to working but those are super hard to find anyway and if you did you're better off using them on the Wii for fun rather than the GameCube where they may or may not...

Re: Swiss on Wii Modchips?

If by "flash" you mean write a boot.iso from Swiss, then yes, probably, assuming that's what those mods used to do in order to show a menu to the user. If they're not Wiikey Fusion clones then they themselves wouldn't be readable/usable by Swiss and you'd have to use other read methods such as SD ca...

I mentioned this via PM, but what's your setup like? What's the boot process for you, do you ever see the original IPL/GameCube menu or are you straight into Swiss?

IDE-EXI "v2" source

A long time ago, isobel from gc-linux.com made modifications to the IDE-EXI vhdl to support DMA over EXI. This remained unreleased for a little while ~9 years (:P) since it had issues with the newly added multi word write command, but I've asked him at the request of others if it would be okay to re...

Re: Virtual Memory Card errors

SDSC uses byte addressing and thus goes through a slightly different code path so it's possible there's an issue somewhere since hardly anyone out there is still using SDSC + Virtual Memory Cards.
