Re: Next Wii64 Beta and Texture Packs

So in the end there are no updates because updates make people want more updates... Am I right?

Re: Next Wii64 Beta and Texture Packs

I think everyone is just fed up with people asking for updates all the time, even when told to stop doing it. Threads get locked because of it.

Re: 480p option hacks

No. You know the Xeno shell right ? This is a custom dol that is packed with the firmware. And since the Xeno has full DVD control it can also apply patches to games. Oh right, mine is bugged and I cant load the shell so I forgot about it. Anyone making xeno clones with a fairly high amount of expe...

Re: 480p option hacks

Problem is the way the xeno works. It loads the disc ONLY. So in order to use hacks with xeno you need to use a modded iso or swap with swiss.

No other option.

Re: Heya!

Oh, that certainly looks awesome. Back when I had my old gamecube, I streamed games using the BBA (didn't have any trouble with that). The Wiikey Fusion certainly looks awesome, but it completely replaces the gamecube drive, which is a shame in my eyes. (I was looking for the Qoob Pro/Viper Extreme...

Re: Heya!

Welcome! Congratulations on kicking Spain out of the game. If you have been out of the scene for a long time you might want to take a look at Swiss, which can be used in combination with Wiikey Fusion on the gamecube. Yes, you read that correctly. There probably are some modchips for sale at the mar...

Re: 480p option hacks

I think he wants to have a seemingly geniune gamecube, the original experience. Just a little better than that. Personally I have autoload and not autoboot and it's pissing me off to no end, but I have to live with it. Just seems even more annoying to have to swap a dvd as well. My preference is to ...

Checking out his tutorial I would assume he is using GCoS.
I can only agree with emu_kidid and recommend using Swiss instead. It is vastly superior.

Nah, it's a shitty one. With the exception of the sound though, it does sound nice even at full volume (I can't blow my speakers, which is a pro when it comes to operating while drunk etc).

Put the file at the root of the SD card and name it boot.dol. Done. Was this directed at me? If so, I don't think you understood the question. Okay, so you mean to start a revision of swiss from swiss (older/newer)? Just put the second swiss in another folder and boot it from swiss by loading the 2...

Well the stereo was cheap as fuck, so maybe a shitty china car is missing a shitty car stereo (not sure, bought from china, but the manual was in Portuguese and the website from brazil). I mean, the VU meter is completely randomized and not matching the music. Even when the music is turned off the V...

Small side project

So I haven't been able to work on the gamecube or play it for that matter lately since we've been moving. However, since we've been moving we've had loads of materials ready for use. I decided to something simple, but useful for my lifestyle (I am that guy you find in the middle of the forest listen...

Re: mega drive v4 install.

How would that increase capacity ? To answer your question, no. First because of the maximum amount of power the GC can feed into them, and also because of current/voltage drop over long wires. Especially with those very thin conductors that are FFC cables. There is a limit on sd cards on wkf, whic...

hot swapping can only be done two ways: 1. unplugging the FFC and hoping not to short something out reconnecting 2. plug n play adapter ti easily pull the the wasp out, then allow a safe way to swap and reconnect while in denergized status, then plug everything back in... another way to recover fro...

Re: Gaming meetings - gamecube gamers

I haven't been able to get warppipe working on Win7/Win8 (spent about 5 hours trying to), so it would be more like playing "lets set up MKDD Lan" rather than MKDD Lan. Virtualbox up in this bitch. I always have windows xp ready for these situations. I just thought it'd be more fun if ever...

Re: Gaming meetings - gamecube gamers

Probably best would be something like a big mario kart lan, 16 players I think? Could setup at tourny or something.
I don't have a bb adapter though, probably very few do due to the price (can get a component cable for that price).

Re: Is there a patch for Zeldas/Metroid/etc inverted X/Y axi

in Mario 64 he can turn on the spot, but yeah, I can see the Y invert cause some people are used to it (I know I am on GoldenEye) but please, who would invert X too? Well considering starfox (which only has y axis inversion) one might want the plane to go the same way the stick goes. If you use the...

Well m3 ds flashcart upgrade was m3i, so I guess it is a thing apparantly. Same with ndsi.
No clue what it stands for but it's newer and better so who cares anyways? :)
Also damn that v4 is looking good.

Doesn't bother me at all.
I tried playing starfox without inversion. IMPOSSIBLE.
Years of inverted games have made me immune to regular axis on pre-2005 games.

Re: Megadrive 5 + wasp = really slow loading

I had a fragmentation issue on my sd card at the start, and when I defragged it started working. I don't think fragmentation can be ignored that easily. Remember that sd cards behave really fucking weird, they're like schrodingers cat of file saving. I swear they work and don't work at the same time...
