Hello! I was just wondering how do I wire up a battery to the gamecube. Can I just wire it to the main ground and power pins? Or is there something else I have to do?

Hello I'm new to both the gamecube modding scene and this site and I was wondering can you run a gamecube off of 12.6v on a rev c motherboard? Seeing as the gamecube runs off of 12v from the standard gamecube power I would assume that it could run off a 12.6v battery as well, no?
