Laser dead?
Just booted up my Gamecube for the first time in a while. It's making this horrible noise, I've never heard a drive so loud before! Also every single disc DREs. Can I just replace the laser (or entire drive) in it with another one and does it have to be the same drive revision? Right now I have the ...

Re: Power Source
I'm interested in doing this mod, right now I always have to keep my gamecube right next to my PC which is not optimal.. Is yamaharacer's picture correct?

Re: Force Widescreen?
Be patient - I'm only one person but Swiss 0.3 is right around the corner :P Oh no problem. But hey, you mentioned a V2 firmware for IDE-EXI? Can we upgrade the firmware on our adapters when it's finished? What differs from current firmware? (would be great if it would improve performance/help elim...

Re: Force Widescreen?
So on the topic of the actual widescreen hack.. If you're trying these games from disc it won't work - it only works for single DOL games. So not using discs, and not using IDE-EXI since it's not working in this build. What's left? SD-gecko? Would someone be nice enough to compile r94 with added wid...

Re: Force Widescreen?
I haven't been using my gamecube for a couple of months and it's been gathering dust, decided to come back here and noticed this topic. Flashed widescreen swiss-lz.dol to my Qoob pro and tested out IDE-EXI+HDD but can't read from IDE-EXI. HDD is powered on and I see a green active LED on the actual ...

I don't have one yet, but I might buy one after new years with Mario Kart.
I'm really excited about Animal Crossing and Paper Mario on the 3DS though, but still no release dates?

Re: Massive Webstore SALE!!
Cool, ordered a Qoob Pro.
Probably last chance to get one, I can flash swiss on the larger flash right?
Also hoping I will finally be able to force some games to run in 480p from disc as the Qoob is the best option for that.

Not any longer, sold it a couple of months ago. Hm, maybe I'll try to add some cheats into cobra bios later.

Requesting Mario Kart (NTSC) savefile
I just want to have some fun with time trial and don't feel like playing all cups all over again to unlock the good karts. Tried downloading some .gci files from gamefaqs, put on my sdgecko and restore to memcard with GCMM, but they all show up as corrupted once restored. :( Can someone make a backu...

Wow, that looks pretty neat! I don't have a ViperExtreme either, but it looks really nice!

Re: Swiss 0.1
I didn't notice any sound issues neither from SD or HDD beside the "normal" occasional audio glitches the first 1-2 second a new screen/scene is loaded, which happens in most games. (I don't know if it has a name, but it's been there since the BBA-streaming days)

Is it hard to replace an already installed ViperGC with a Qoob Pro? Also how many do you have of each?

Re: Play Phantasy Star Online E1&2 Online- SCHTHACK Server
But don't get fooled by the amount of people online. BB and GC share the same server/ships/lobbys so what you see in the lobby are probably mostly BB players and they can't play together. (but I think lobby works so you can talk to them and have a good time just chatting in the lobby) Here's a scree...

Re: Viper Dev/USB SDK solution for the lid switch (I hope :p
I've switched discs on resident evil remake through burned discs and direct disc boot on cobra. The game doesn't allow you to save before the switch so it's real. No luck with AR though as I remember it. (also swiss iso switching didn't work)

Have you tried the NTSC version or the PAL one?Because I tried the PAL game via Wii (I altered the video signal to 576i and 480i) and I had a blue screen with a me...
